2008: Best Bag in the Park: I like bags that are fun or perhaps bright colors that make people happy. This bag is very easy to spot and it is of a very bright green and I like that so Congrats to:

NATALIE

who has bag in the park

2008: Best Sandals in the Park: Many sandals they look the same. These days there are also lots of Crocs. If you want to find the best sandals she has to taken them off but when she does they just remind me of fun. This lifeguard has sandals in the park she is

SAMMIE

2008: Best Guest Service Guy: You only have one chance to make a first impression and therefore it is up to Guest Services to give off that great first impression. This guy even toughed it out and came to work with the dislocated shoulder. Although I don't think he did the limbo then. He wanted me to do the limbo but I respectfully decline. He certainly seemed to have a lof of fun and we hope is time in Guest Services isn't done. Mark T. names

KEVIN

2008 Guest Service Guy.

2008: Best Guest Service Gal: This was a very tough competition as there are a lot of Good Guest Service Gals. Many I probably don't even know there names so I couldn't choose them. It did come down to 3. There was Chloe and she seems very nice but people are afraid of her because she pointed out her eyes are scary even though I do not think they are. Then there is Lindsey she seems so nice. Then there is Nicole and how could I choose? Well there was just something special about this season's winner and I don't know what it is but I thought she was the best so Mark T. names

NICOLE

2008 Guest Service GAL.

If you look real close at the top of the red bowl slide you can see one lifeguard at the top. I wonder who he could be. This is the type of day I like to ride the bowl slides.

2008: Best Male Rookie Lifeguard: This guy seems to always have a smile on his face. I think he actually loves his job and he does pretty good at running slides. For many years we have been saying "We need another Timmy" After all if you go way back in time remember when Timmy walked down Whitewater and I mean walked down the slide known as whitewater. He was fired right after that. Maybe I just wanted to tell that story but no really Mark T names

TIM

rookie male lifeguard of 2008.

2008: Best Voice in the Park: All I ever wanted to do was be a radio talk show host. I am told I have a very distinctive vocie and this year I have had to make many telephone calls and people after I say 2 words or less know that it is Mark T just by the voice. I have always been fascinated by voices and sometimes there is a distinguishing voice that I love to hear. This year it took awhile for her to return but when I heard her voice again it put a smile on my face as I love to hear her talk. Many of us are counting the days down untl she turns 18 on May 4, 2009. She is a Mark T. Favorite so congrats to

ERIN

voice in the park in 2008.

2008 Best Female Rookie Lifeguard: Oh this competition was very tough with so many new lifeguards. Could it be Christy or Elizabeth maybe Natalie. Shouldn't there be another category for slide attendant to lifeguard? Maybe there will be. In the end since I usually ride slides I had to go with one of the few new lifeguards that actually keeps the slides clean. The last few years slide attendants made us stay back because if something happened people needed to get up and do there thing. Now you might be dead because the top of the slides are normally just one big mess. However, they are great when this very enthusastic lifeguard is at the top. We should all stand up and give a cheer to your 2008 Female Lifeguard rookie of the year

CHELSEA is rookie female lifeguard of 2008.

2008 Female lifeguard of the year: This was a tough competition this season and it came down to 2 lifeguards. Matters were complicated because they both normally work at teh wavepool and that is a place I not go. They are both very good lifeguards in your hosts opinion and many factors had to go into play and then a decision had to be made. So this year the runner-up in the best female lifeguard of 2008 is one of the friendliest people at Deep River Waterpark and that would be Alecia and I think I have spelled her name a few different ways. Alecia is pretty great.

This will lead us to you 2008 female lifeguard of the year. This summer no camera has come with me as this park as been short staffed and busy since the end of June but if I could have only one picture to remember the 2008 season by it would be a picture of this lifeguard with a particular action. As you know I am all about climbing slides and this lifeguard started maybe 2 years ago as a slide attendant and then last year she was a lifeguard and now she is back again. Normally at the wave pool but it is quite a treat when she comes to the slides. Never have I seen a cleaner top of a slide than when she is on top. It is so great and the picture I would like to have is of her putting the stop sign out with her hand as she says "Stop wait right there" and everyone listens. It took me 3 years to learn her name but I am sure glad I did so in 2008 Mark T declares

Kaitlin

female lifeguard of 2008.

Who has the best hair in the park and will win Mark T's highly coveted Best hair in the park will it be Amanda, Kristina, or Natalie or will you all be shocked if we go out of the lifeguard pool and choose Breeann? Well, well I am all about the hair as I love my hair although this summer it didn't get as blonde as I like but it is still beautiful. NOw people say I have a thing for blondes. I have admitted I am partial to red hair ahd this season I was going to choose between these 4 lovely gals. Kristina has quite the hair with the effect of the wind blowing it and that is great. However, she is not the winner this season. Then I am partial to red hair and until something happened I was set to choose Natalie but then her hair changed. It changed and I absolutely positively beyond a shadow of a doubt loved it as it went dark and so since it's according to Mark T and at the end of the season there was no one with better hair in the park than

JESSIE

HAS hair at Deep River Waterpark in 2008

2008 Manager of the Year: When the season started and through most of the year it seemed a slam dunk that this would be a repeat winner from 2007 Joe Parker. He is a good guy always taking care of many things but then probably as the staff got low he disappeared from the storyline although I am sure he had to be around somewhere and then on that wonderful night a man that has worked at the park 14 years emerged and I was so impressed with everything he got organized to truly make August 12, 2008 an evening that will forever be remembered at least in Mark T's Deep River Waterpark history. Plus this year have to say that all the rides seem to be working every day so your 2008 managed of the year who is is
