From Summer 'til Autum
autumn

in the morning, fog lies on the trees
like a thick white blanket
you'd want to wrap yourself into
to sleep and to forget.
to regret
not what you did,
but what you did not,
like saying
"don’t go. I need you."
now all you can do
is wait
for the leaves turning to red
and the snow to fall down on your face,
gently
and silently.
summer

on the run, almost gone,
sunshine on golden shoulders,
running, running, running,
breathless,
like his kisses.
"I'll never forget you," he said.
"I'll never ..."
instead of an answer,
you put a finger over his lips and said
"hush".
He closed his eyes.
And suddenly,
the summer
was
gone.
