前天聽了王菲在98-99 concert 中演譯的一首「Bohemian Rhapsody」，震撼到不得了。此曲是glam rock band 「Queen」的1975年經典舊作，因為曲詞創作人Freddie Mercury在91年11月24日因愛滋病而過世，所以世界再沒有另一種可以取代這首曲那敲進心底的感覺了，也因為Mercury本身生前的處境而替此曲蓋上濃厚的哀愁。

曲子始於一個問句：「Is this just real life? Is this just fantasy?」( 這是真實生活，或是幻想? )，經過波瀾萬丈的五分鐘後，結束於Mercury輕描淡寫的一句「Nothing really matters...to me」 ( 對我而言，其實什麼也沒發生)...

此曲的每分每秒都瀰漫著無奈和對黑暗、死亡的恐懼的氣氛，Mercury熱愛歌劇，在其作品中不多不少也有點歌劇影子，在「Bohemian Rhapsody」裡將當時的錄混音技術應用到極致，人聲層層疊錄之下，營造出搖滾樂界前所未聞的氣勢。電影感強烈和富張力是我對此曲編曲效果的即時感想。中段過場的opera式歌聲起伏，非常波瀾壯闊，也代表了主角內心非常不穩定的爭扎，把偉大的生命描寫成不過是poor boy的一生，nobody loves poor boy，渺少到不得了，強調生命只是煙花，而這煙花也是痛苦的化身，似乎人活在其中，非常不知何去何從。聽著歌者 ( 我聽的是王菲版 ) 以冷酷的語氣唱著「Easy come easy go, will you let me go」，真淒絕。而尾段忽然減速的幾拍重拍及那些歌聲，果真有「anyway the wind blows」的感覺，有歸塵之感。
