| THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE |
| After the death of Charlemagne, his sucessors were weakand incapable of supporting their large empire. When Charles "The fat" died, the Empire dissapeared until the crowned of Otto I of Saxony. In this world between Rhin and Elba rivers, that is to say, between latin and slav world, the process of disintegrationing of Charlemagne´s Empire created four duchies: Saxony, Franconia, Swabia and Bavary. |

| The members of the differents families tried to get for themselves the Imperial throne but they have to fight against The Pope, the Italian lords, Franks, Magyars, Slavs, Vikings and themselves to get it. |

| You have to choose one of these families, you start with a castle and some villages under you rule, you have to develop your duchy, discover new advances to produce most powerful units and surrender the other duchies. When you defeated them you can go to the South, go across the Alps and conquer the eternal city: Rome. |

| In the beginning be careful with barbarians attacks. |
| When you have defeated all German lords you can try to defeat the Pope |

| From a small castle you have to develop all your empire to get the Imperial throne. |
