Christmas 2005
We began our Christmas trip to San Francisco at 4:00 A.M., Friday, December 23rd.  We brought our camper and drove it around the California coast.  We stopped by Santa Barbara and had some clam chowder and lobster bisque.  Hmmmmm, yummy! On the Central Coast, we passed by a few lighthouses and took pictures of them.  I love lighthouses and was tickled pink seeing some along the way.  We stayed overnight in a small town called "Aptos."  We love this town; people are one of the nicest in California.  We had breakfast at an old diner and then off we head for San Francisco.  We arrived at my cousin's house in South San Francisco around noontime of the 24th.  It was so nice to meet and talk again with relatives.
Later that afternoon, Kenny and I took the BART train to San Francisco and then the trolley to the Fisherman's Wharf.  We took a walk at the wharf and Pier 39.  We watched crepe being made at one shop and couldn't resist having one - strawberry with melted chocoloate chips crepe topped with whipped cream.  Super yummy!!!

Sol's family love singing.   Her cousin has karaoke system and a band set. Christmas eve was a night of singing until 3:00 A.M. of Christmas Day.  Ken and I joined my cousins for Christmas Day mass at a local Catholic church.  After the mass, we went to my Aunt Hilda's grave and said prayers. Aunt Hilda was my mother's only sister.

The party continues the evening of the 25th.  Ken and I were very tired and probably lacking sleep for the past two days, so by 10:00 P.M. we called it a day.

We left my cousin's house in the morning and went back to Pier 39.  Ken was hoping we could get a tour of Alcatraz before heading home.  Unfortunately, the tour is fully booked and the next available one will be on the 27th.  Well, it will be on our itineray next trip to San Francisco.

We arrived  home at around 2:30 A.M. of the 25th.
