One of the original '09 escapees, Ben was to become a serial killer. His spate of murders took in Miami, Chicago and New York before he arrived in Seattle....the home of Max. His trademark was to tattoo his barcode on the back of his victim's neck. Max tracked him to a church where he was still displaying evidence of his faith in a childhood deity they dubbed the 'Blue Lady'. As children they had given gifts to her to increase her strength to help protect them from the 'nomolies'...Manticore creations gone wrong that were kept in the basement of their facility. After a brief but vicious battle with Max in the forest, Ben was injured in the fight. He asked Max to prevent his recapture by Manticore by granting him one thing. As he relayed the story that he had told as a child to his unit, she crushed the vertebrae in his neck and put an end to his life.
