My thoughts on Busted!

Roswell is back. Yay! This "review" might be slightly biased, because I'm so happy that the show is finally back that I'm willing to overlook any flaws. That being said, I haven't found any major flaws and it may be a while before I find some. :) So I'm a fan, and a dreamer to boot. So sue me! *lol*

There are however a few things I didn't like and I understand that some of them are necessary evils to help the newbies catch up, like having Liz state the obvious all the time. I hope once everyone is caught up they'll stop having her say stuff like "oh you know I would too if I had impregnated an alien killer who murdered one of my best friends and then left the planet with my unborn child". Or "you guys are the aliens, do something" Kudos to Shiri, it actually didn't sound too lame.

The other thing I didn't like about this episode was the total lack of Kyle and Jim, but hey, they have 21 more episodes to make up for it and since it means more Max and Liz time, I'm not complaining about it. Besides, that absolutely gorgeous shot of Nick Wechsler in the credits will make up for it. But for this week only. ;)

There wasn't a lot of Maria either, but while she was there, it was the same good old Maria. Points for having her say "Don't go there, girlfriend". Though it's funnier when she says it to Max :)

I want Liz to tell Max about Future Max!!!! He doesn't seem to know. At least, we didn't miss that conversation. Or the cementing (Valerie sighs in relief). I'm happy we also got to see their first date. Happy dreamer sigh.

My favourite scene by far has got to be the "steal the diamond" scene. How fun was that to watch? :) And give me Max in a tux every day. He looked kinda James-Bond-like, there, didn't he? And I love Liz as the jealous girlfriend, and Max following her like a little puppy dog. I love the look they gave each other in the car, and the subsequent making out. That was serious "Sexual Healing" stuff there people!! Any one else thought they were well on their way to cementing then? Darn Mr. Parker! Been taking interrupting lessons from Maria, haven't you, Sir?

I really, *really* love the fact that Liz is still jealous of Tess and is not letting Max off the hook so easy. I mean, of course she took him back (duh, he IS the love of her life) but she has trouble dealing with the whole getting Tess pregnant, and she's letting him know. You go girl!!

Oh, points for FINALLY naming the alien planet. Only took them 44 episodes.

*warning, hormones talking now* Major points for having Max strip within the first 15 minutes. (oh, and the shot of shirtless running Max in the credits) Drool. But they lose points for taking out the shot where he's giggling. If you haven't seen that promo check it out ("female sell" on www.vidiot.com) I mean, we never get to see Max giggle, was it too much to ask to actually keep it in the show? Oh, and bad alien baby, calling your dad when he's on the verge of a great dreamer moment like that. Been hanging out with your mom, haven't you?

Points to Max for the white roses. And that little "I want to make all your dreams come true" speech. Little puddle of Valerie on the couch. `Nuff said.

Points for not spoiling all the dreamer moments in the promos. I try to stay away from spoilers, and I was afraid that we had seen all the good dreamer stuff already. So thanks for not showing everything, in particular that rescue attempt from Max. Oh, and my hormones kindly request more Max in uniform, please.

Hey, speaking of promo dreamer-moments, what happened to that scene in the promo when they're flying?

My favourite part of the whole hold-up was Max stealing the bag of chips or whatever it was he took. This guy has such potential for a sense of humour, if they would let him!! *Love* how he asked Liz "Who are you?" when they were making out. :)

Ok, those FBI people, agent Burns and the one who scared Michael, are creeping me out. That's a good thing. We're back to more scary villains. I didn't trust Whitaker, but she didn't actually creep me out as much as that agent Burns does. We're not up to Pierce level, but I give him at least a Topolsky!

Speaking of trust, I'm not sure how I feel about Jesse yet. He's cute enough, and Isabel sure seems to like him. He wants it to go public, so points for him. The age difference doesn't bother me that much (though he got a year older since the promo!) The line "You clearly have lived before" sounded strange to me, though. Call me paranoid.

Loved Max reaction when he read Nasedo's letter, that he was the protector on Earth. Considering he sold them out and all.

I guess Max conditioned himself to leave and not consider other options if anything threatened his secret identity. When his mother asked him about his secret he told her he would leave. He told the same thing to his dad, only his dad didn't stop him. Stubborn Evans men. Doesn't Max know that maybe it wouldn't make a difference? Liz didn't run away screaming. Anyways. Poor Max all alone in the car. Couldn't he have at least gone to Michael's or something?

Liz's parents are sadly mistaken if they think Liz will look the other way if she sees Max in school. Parties and restaurant, ok. School? Get real. They have a point, though, and I don't blame them. But I don't think it's gonna make much difference at this point. They survived being different species, Destiny, the end of the world, Future Max and an alien killer. Mom, Dad, nice try.

Ok, that's it for me for now. God, I missed this!!
