My thoughts on It's Too Late and It's Too Bad

It took me 40 episodes but I finally "get" Michael. Hallelujah!! I always liked him, mind you, I just never really "got" him. That garbage disposal metaphor was the funniest thing I heard in a long, long time!!

Ok, there are some things I absolutely refuse to think about so I'll do like Liz and concentrate on the Alex murder investigation!

So, Alex never went to Sweden. Ok. Where did he go? Why did he say he went? Does he know he didn't go? Where did he learn to speak Swedish? (because that was real Swedish, I checked :P) Ok, here's one of my many theories on the subject: maybe Alex is in the parallel universe, or wherever it was that he went in WipeOut. He's the only one of the group who was gone the entire time. And when he came back, he complained his food was cold. Seems like this particular version of Alex has a problem with cold food! I'm kidding, but I can't help but think that Alex's death has something to do with Wipe Out. And all I can say is Go Liz! She was actually going to Sweden! That's my girl!

I'm still not totally convinced that Max is acting of his free will. Though I agree with Red, it was great character development. It's almost as if something is tapping into Max's darker side. You see the real Max at the beginning of every conversation (with Liz, with Isabel) and then Max Vader takes over and he loses all control. All those characteristics were in him from the very beginning, but he could always control them before. Either someone is using that, as I said, or Alex's death (or whatever else is going on right now, take your pick) was the last straw that broke the camel's back and Max is officially freaked out. And kudos to Jason Behr for actually creeping me out. Who would have thought Max would ever scare me?

The best glimpse of the "real" Max we saw was when he pretty much admitted to Michael that he didn't want to believe Liz's theories because he couldn't bear feeling responsible. It's so great to see that at least that relationship is still good. It's actually better than it's been in a long time.

Oh, and about that pink elephant in the middle of the room that I'm trying to ignore, my brain will go about as far as admitting: foot massage?!?!?!?! (lol!) I couldn't look directly at the screen at the end, and I almost missed Liz with the plane (was she really going to Sweden in THAT plane?!) Actually, I better stop now, it's lunch time and thinking about that last scene sorts of makes me sick to my stomach :)

One thing about it though, Max said something like "I guess I want to wake up now" meaning he was accepting his alien side. Is it just me, or the writers are playing with the Dreamers' heads? Like Max is waking up from being a Dreamer... Or I'm just paranoid, which at this point is very, very likely!! Also, I think it was actually the first time that someone on the show used the term "Pod Squad".

Hey, where was Kyle? I kinda missed him. He could have helped Liz with her investigation. He could have distracted someone else and keep her away from Max! Nevermind...

Even though I hate most of what happened in the episode, I guess I loved the episode itself. If I didn't I'd actually work instead of writing this!!

I know spoiled people say it will work out... I want to believe you SO much! "Even if it's a lie, say it will be all right, and I shall believe..."
