My thoughts on Significant Others

Last week we had the Michael episode so this week, we have the Isabel episode. That's good I guess.

Random thoughts. I can't seem to be coherent today.

My general feeling about this episode is "Ghost Alex – yay!". He's by far the thing I liked most this week. That "Kinky" line just about killed me. Can we have him do a commentary all the time? ;)

But my favourite line is when Isabel said that Grant had been killed by that jellyfish thing. He he he. It's cool to see the writers make fun of their own less-inspired creations.

So Isabel is getting married. Okay. I hope it works out, I really do, but I wouldn't have said yes if I were Isabel. It's too soon, and there's too much at stake for both of them (yes, I mean the alien thing) I can't let myself be happy for Isabel and Jesse because I still don't trust him. I *want* him to be a good guy. But I can't let myself be happy for them just yet because I'm still paranoid something is going to go wrong. And Isabel won't ever get over it, not this time. It was so hard for her to let him in, she won't do it again if this fails.

As much as I understand Isabel wanting to tell Jesse, I don't think she should. I agree with Max and Michael on this one. By not telling Jesse just yet, they are protecting themselves AND Jesse and that can't be bad. Kyle's right, he may not walk away, but if things go wrong, he might use it against them. Who knows. I'd wait a bit before telling him. Of course, if he turns out to be a good guy, she'll have to tell him. Otherwise it won't be fair.

And how cool was it that Isabel came to Kyle when she needed to confide in someone? I'm turning into such a Isabel/Kyle friendshipper!

Just how is Isabel going to tell her parents? "Mom, Dad, you know Jesse... I know this will come as a ton of bricks but we're getting married. Didn't I mention we dated all summer?" They're already worried about Max. Sucks to be Mr. and Mrs. Evans these days.

It's good to know that Liz remembered she could come in through her balcony. ;)

That song that was playing when Ghost Alex disappeared is the same one that was playing when Isabel danced with him at the cemetery, isn't it? Oh, break my heart, why don't you!

So Mr. Parker has a reason for being so mean. Darn. Now we can't just blindly hate him for what he's doing. I wish he would have let Max speak, though. Max came in very calmly and left just as calmly. Go Max. Booh Jeff. And then they tell us why Mr. Parker is like that. Whoa, a supporting character with a past! Season 1 flashback!! It's all good. :)

I don't know if it's the ponytail or just more screen time, but it felt like Maria was finally back this week. How long will this last? More Maria please.

It's cool that my UPN affiliate finally decided to play the promo for next week. But a small request if I may? Can we have the whole thing? Can we not stop the Roswell promo halfway through to show the Entertainment Tonight promo? Thanks.

Is Ghost Alex real or is he just Isabel's imagination? Last Christmas, was the ghost real or was he just Max's guilt? I want Ghost Alex to be real. Ghost Alex rules. And I want him to come back. I don't think he will, though. Isabel let him go. Hey, maybe he could come and haunt Liz for a change. BTW Colin, love the hair. :)

Speaking of which, or not really... Liz could lose those earrings. I wouldn't mind one bit.

I enjoyed the episode very much, but not as much as last week. It was good, but it left me wanting something more. I'm not sure what. Maybe just more Max screen time ;) (Which it would seem I'll get next week. Small spoiler and shallow comment ahead.

I miss Bob the Jeep but I think Max will look better in the Chevelle cruising the California highway!
