The Democratic Party has always been about helping ordinary,working class people.
Programs to assist our friends and neighbors have been established by the Democrat leadership.

Nationally and on the state level our focus is on:
* jobs,
* affordable health care,
* social security stability,
* medicare prescription drug coverage,
* welfare to work programs,
* assistance for children and families in crisis,
* a livable wage for workers
* and the safety and security of our citizens.

Locally, our focus is on:
* bringing good paying jobs to Indiana,
* revitalization of our cities and towns
* and the restoration of clean air and water.

Some of the issues facing Indiana seem daunting, and they are;
however, these are issues that need to be addressed and solved.
These are issues that need the attention of representatives who will study them
and make those recommendations necessary to arrive at those solutions
which will best meet the needs of the residents of Indiana
at the least cost.

We welcome everyone to join us in bringing a resurgence of pride and prestige to our state and our country.

We are the party of inclusion, this means:
NO ONE LEFT BEHIND.

According to police reports and news accounts, a five-month New Jersey State Police investigation
brought law enforcement to Princeton University. Early one morning, authorities raided a dorm.
Inside, they arrested Mitch Daniels and two other students.The date was May 14, 1970.
The raid happened in Cuyler Hall 111, a two-bedroom suite where Daniels was staying with two friends.
Newspaper accounts reported that in addition to marijuana, an undercover officer bought other drugs,including LSD,
during numerous visits to the room over about a three-month period.
Another officer later testified he found enough marijuana there to fill two size-12 shoe boxes.

Five months later, a grand jury indicted Daniels on two counts, marijuana possession and maintaining a nuisance.
The nuisance - maintaining a room for the illegal keeping and selling of narcotic drugs.
Eventually the prosecutor agreed to drop those charges and Daniels pled guilty to a disorderly persons charge.
If Daniels, who for years has tried to pass this off as a simple marijuana arrest, has nothing to hide,
why doesn't he disclose all of the legal documents involving his arrest and indictment?
That's the real question here and one that Daniels needs to answer for Hoosiers.
Undoubtedly, Republicans are now going to start flooding newspapers across the state with letters to the editor
trying to deflect attention from this story by accusing the governor and the Democratic Party of running a negative
campaign and launching personal attacks. Nothing could be further from the truth.
An Indianapolis television station broke this story, not us.
