David Coffman, the third child of Joseph and Rebecca (Miller) Coffman was born September 27, 1837 in Henry County Indiana. David married Mary May (b. January 4, 1840) on March 29, 1866 in Delaware County Indiana. David served as a private in the Civil War in Company E , 8th Indiana Infantry. David and Mary were the parents of 2 childern. David died September 11, 1874 in Henry County Indiana, and Mary died June 6, 1873 in Henry County Indiana, and both are buried in the Painter Cemetery in Middletown , Henry County Indiana.

Perry was born August 22, 1868 and married Irene Henshaw (1871-1933) in 1895. They were the parents of 3 childern. Perry Edward died February 7, 1957.
