Police Tactics / Defensive Tactics

At Indiana Martial Arts Academy we are lucky enough  to be able to have several Law Enforcement Officers associated with us.  Jackson’s Karate Institute is the home for several police officers trained in Police Defensive Tactics.  Defensive tactics are a great way to defend yourself as set forth by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, taught to law enforcement officers across the country.

The main focus are on pressure point control tactics (PPCT), and striking using empty hand.   Another one of their focus is using the ASP extendable baton.  By adding police tactics in our martial arts curriculum we are teaching an effective way to defend one’s self by not causing serious injury to an attacker.
