Sub : Export of Fish and Fish products & Third party Exports under DEPB Scheme in the EDI System - reg
Attention of exporters/importers/CHAs and all other concerned is drawn to the Public Notice No.130/99 dated 14.12.99 and 07/2000 dated 24.01.2000 whereby procedure for computerised processing of DEPB (Post-Export) Shipping Bills in the EDI System is laid down.
Representations from the trade have been received regarding difficulty in entering description of Fish & Fish Products covered under Group Code - 66, Sl. No. 1,2 & 3 in the EDI System. Description of upto 120 character can be entered in the EDI system whereas description as required in terms of the DEPB Schedule far exceeds 120 characters. However, they have to furnish specific declaration to the effect that preservatives as per Input -output norms have been used or export products have been obtained from aquaculture sources, as the case may be. Similarly, in the present EDI system, there is no provision for processing third party exports.
In view of the above, the following changes will come into immediate effect:
1. Exports of sea-foods & Marine products under the DEPB scheme will be processed manually till further order.
2. Third party Exports under the DEPB Scheme will also be processed manually till further order.
Hence, all concerned are hereby notified to file manual S/Bills for exports of above-mentioned two categories.
