Public Notice No. 27/2000

    In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962, I, A.K. Raha, Commissioner of Customs (Port), Calcutta, do hereby notify the container freight station complex of M/s Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) at Ranichak Haldia, near Haldia Port main gate, P.O. Chiranjibpur, Haldia, District- Midnapore, Pin Code - 721604 as described in the Schedule below as "Customs Area" for the purpose of (1) receiving/storing import containers, destuffing, examination and clearance of the import cargo; (ii) receiving/consolidating export cargo, examination thereof, stuffing LCL/FCL container with export cargo and sealing thereof and despatching the sealed containers to Haldia Port for export; and (iii) storage of empty containers.

THE SCHEDULE

    The CFS Complex belonging to M/s CWC situated at Ranichak Haldia, near Haldia Port main gate, P.O. Chiranjibpur, Haldia, District- Midnapore, Pin Code - 721604 measuring 20231.55 Sq. mtr. with the following boundaries:-

    (i)   NORTH : Boundary wall of CFS separating vacant land of CPT
   (ii)  SOUTH : Boundary wall of CFS separating CPT main road
   (iii) EAST    : Boundary wall of CFS separating CPT Railway siding
   (iv) WEST   : Boundary wall of CFS separating CPT vacant land, Bridge & Roof,     Prakash Enterprise & Ham Yard, CPT yard, etc.

    It is further notified that to and fro transportation of loaded/empty containers from Haldia Dock to CFS and vice-versa by M/s CWC will be done through CPT main road. In case any deviation is felt necessary, prior written permission from the concerned Supdt./A.C. is to be obtained. This Public Notice shall come into effect from 20.04.2000.
