Public Notice No. 28/2000

    In exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, A.K. Raha, Commissioner of Customs (Port), Calcutta, hereby appoint M/s Central Warehousing Corporation as the custodian of the containers and the imported goods received in containers from Haldia Dock Complex and the goods meant for export through Haldia Port via their container freight station at Ranichak Haldia Port main gate, P.O. Chiranjibpur, Haldia, District- Midnapore, Pin Code - 721604 which has been specified as "Customs Area" vide Public Notice No.27/2000 dated 20/04/2000 of this office and any other class of such goods in the C.F.S.

    M/s Central Warehousing Corporation will be the custodian as shown above till the import goods are cleared for home consumption or in the case of export cargo till the containers stuffed with export cargo and duly sealed by Customs are deposited with CPT(Haldia) Custody in the Docks.

    M/s Central Warehousing Corporation as the custodian of the goods meant for export and import will comply with the provisions of Section 45(2) of the Customs Act, 1962 as well as the rules, regulations and instructions issued from time to time on the subject mentioned above.
