Subject : Submission of application before the Settlement Commission until the Additional Bench of Settlement Commission is set up at Calcutta - Reg.   

    Attention of Exporters/Importers and all concerned  is drawn to Ministry's Circular issued from F.No.30022/1/2000-SC Dated 17-05-2000 that until the Additional Bench of Settlement Commission is set up at Calcutta, cases relating to the Additional Bench at Calcutta would be dealt with by the Principal Bench at New Delhi. Sri P.K. Sengupta, Supdt. of Central Excise, posted in the Chief Commissioner Unit at Custom House (Third Floor), 15/1, Strand Road, Calcutta - 700001 ( Telephone No. 220-2723, 220-7431 and Fax No. 220-2723) has been designated as Superintendent, Settlement Commission, East Zone, for the purpose of receiving application, acknowledging them and forwarding them to the Principal Bench at New Delhi. Standing Order no. 2 of 1999 issued by the Chairman, Customs & Central Excise Settlement Commission is enclosed.

    All Associations / Federations are requested to give wide publicity of this circular.
