Sub: Procedure for computerised processing of  DEPB (Post Export) Shipping Bills under the Indian Customs EDI System (Export) for Sea   Cargo at Custom House, Calcutta.

          Attention of Exporters / Importers / CHAs & all other concerned is drawn towards Public Notice No. 130/99 dated 14-12-99 vide which trade was informed regarding computerised processing of DEPB (Post Export), 100% EOU & EPCG Shipping Bills.    

         The following charges will come into immediate effect regarding furnishing of item details in the Revised format of Annexure `A`.    

         All the Exporters exporting goods under DEPB (Post Export) Schemes will be required to furnish data regarding Net Weight, Gross Weight & Present market Value  against each item of invoice in the Item Description Column of Revised Annexure `A`. The data will be entered in the Item Level Description where upto 240 characters can be entered by the Service Centre. Wherever individual item-wise Net Weight, Gross Weight and Present Market Value is not possible to be given, then the same may be given group-wise or for the total consignment.    

        All the Exporters will also be required to produce hard copy of invoice i.e, Paper Invoice in the Group before the Appraiser until further order.
