The Global Outreach Missionaries have moved to Guyana and need prayers. The are the ones that we will be working with.Pray that we will be able to support them and that God blesses and provides for their children.I am planning to go to Guyana this Thanksgiving to visit my family  in Canal where we will work for a while and also to help the Schultz and see  what we will need for Spring Break.

Testimony of the work in Guyana by Global Outreach workers.

National Flower When Canton Gullings introduced me to Guyana and the Amerindian people several years ago, I never dreamed of comtinuing the work he started. However, with Carolyn Gullings' help with the area contracts to build fresh, clean water wells and churches, a team of 13 people left for Guyana, South America,in February.
Debbie Thornberry presented a minister to the children in Bible School and crafts each day. The women also held sewing clinic for the women and girls in two villages. We distributed 600 pounds of donated sewing supplies. the ladies appreciated all that was given. They made clothes and rag dolls. The dolls were a delight to the little girls on the island, as wll as to the mothers who made them. The men built two new churches on the island of Grand Troolie and in the village of Cari-Cari on the mainland. The Amerindians were thrilled with the new, sturdy worship sites. A dedication was held at the Grand Troolie church and new souls for God's Kingsdom were added that night.

The Jesus Film and other Christians movies were shown on other islands as well, with a generator for the electricty and a white sheet for the screen. A total of 50 souls that we know of were received into God's fellowship. What a joy  it is to share God's love.We had problems building wells. The men worked extremly hard, and oh, we prayed, but before the casings could be put in the  sandy soil, the walls collapsed. This happened twice in the seven days they  drilled. If anyone reading this has expertise in this area and would like to go to  Guyana to help, we'll be planning another trip in the future.

There are needs, and if you would like to help, please contact Global Outreach or Ben Yantis at 219-737-7610, email: Yantistra@aol.com. A container will be loaded this summer in Indiana for shipment this fall. Present needs are English Bibles, 5-25 horse power boat motors, sewing supplies and material, box guitars, other musical instruments, and medical supplies like bandages, oinments, and cold remedies. We left the island people without physical water to drink, but we provided the fountain of living water, Jesus Christ, and we give him the glory and honor. We thank Him for the oppurtunity and previlege to serve and be a part of this work in Guyana.
