History of QARL |
The
QARL was established in 1982 by a group of HAM enthusiasts to promote the Radio
Communication Hobby. The team should be appreciated as they had laid the foundation for
QARL to bring more and more people together and link this small city to the global network
of HAMs. Since then many a people had taken up the ASOC examination and qualified to
become Radio Hams. The fact is that most of the Hams in Kollam and others who head other
such Hams club were once members of the QARL. The QARL had always been a platform for the
new commers and the oldies eqally for the general advancement of amateur Radio
Communication. QARL is completing its 20th year and during its cource it has conducted
various activites like field days, fox hunt, demonstrations, ASOC Examinations etc. It
also helped the Kollam District Administration during disasters. |
