O grupo almos - keresiou é constituído por dois grandes grupos,
claramente distintos mas, mostrando muitas inovações léxicas e gramaticais que levam a
considerá-los como um único subgrupo do Ameríndio. O termo almos foi criado por
Swadesh como uma combinação de algico e mosano (quatro). Keresiou vem de keres e siou.
Estes grupos estão localizados na América do Norte.
