A blue Airmail Letter Leave with the Legend “INDIA POSTAGE STAMP CENTENARY / 1854 - 1945” on top was printed and kept in the Airmail Stationery Envelope of 14 annas after folding the same. whether this airmail letter leave was issued in Letter Pad form is not known. But it appears to me this leave was priced ½ anna because I read somewhere that the Airmail Envelope of 14 annas with this leave was issued for 14½ annas instead of 14 annas. Now, we have to find out the authenticity of this information.

A First Day Cover was issued along with Postage Stamps for 1 anna.

Two private FDCs were also issued. One of them was a ‘B. D. S. Production’. B. D. S., means ‘B. D. Sanjana’. This FDC without stamps was sold for 1 anna each. It was reported on Page 145 of June 1954 issue of India’s Stamp Journal.

Private First Day Cover is printed. Name is not known

A Special VIP Folder / Souvenir Album was issued for VIPs, which contained the commemorative stamps defaced with the Special Postal Cancellation “INDIA POSTAGE STAMP CENTENARY / 1.10.54 - NEW DELHI”. This VIP folder was sent to VIPs in an envelope with the wordings “INDIA POSTAGE STAMP CENTENARY / 1854-1954” in English in centre top, in dark blue coloured ink, to gather with a printed forwarding letter of the Director General of Post & Telegraphs.
