Annual Summer Picnic

The annual Summer Picnic took place on Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Indian Trails Chapter members and guests gathered at Pavilion #2, Plum Creek Park located in Kent, Ohio. The Mary Jo Cline CPS CAP, President, shared information about the upcoming 2006-07 programs and events. The Chapter furnished buns, beverages and table service. Members shared a wide variety of delicious side dishes and desserts. Members interacted through participation in a brainteaser game. Small prizes were handed out throughout the picnic.

"Computer Identity Theft"

How does computer crime relate to identity theft, child pornography, parental controls and protecting our children overall? If these are questions that you wanted answers to then you needed to come to our September meeting. Carmen has worked in the field of criminal justice for 28 years and is currently supervising a group of Federal probation officers conducting criminal investigations for the Court.

Members volunteered to bring favorite dishes for dinner.


Fall 2006 Community Service Project

Members brought school supplies, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies to the August Picnic meeting. These items were donated to The Miller Homeless Shelter in Kent, Ohio on behalf of Indian Trails Chapter IAAP members.

Matt Thomas, Staff Manager of OfficeTeam was our guest speaker.

To get ahead in the workplace, you must prove yourself as a "go-to" person - someone able to handle an array of projects and new challenges, and serve as a resource, while maintaining a positive attitude. Visibility plays an essential role in your effort to not only maintain, but advance your career. It can also assist you with improving your compensation, marketability, and skills and experience. This presentation explored when and how to take advantage of opportunities to boost your visibility and the five keys to setting yourself apart.

Business meeting started at 5:45 pm at The Davey Institute Building with the speaker starting at 6:30 pm. A light meal was provided. One (1) Recertification point was given.
