My main interest is in the development of culture. I recently began pursuing a master's of arts in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas, Edwards Campus. It's an extension in Kansas City with night classes for "local professionals". The courses are taught by faculty from KU's main campus in Lawrence.
I earned my undegraduate degree in May, 1999. Since that time, I have had much trouble finding a worthwhile job. At the time I write this (Feb. 14, 2002), I have been unemployed since late November, 2001. This has a lot to do with my idealism and stubborness.
My future plans are to complete the M.A. and be accepted into a doctoral fellowship (I'm still deciding between communication and sociology). Eventually, I hope to work in academics and write about cultural issues.
