Gardening. My mother is a gardener. To be specific she is a Master Gardener. When I was a child, and had just gotten out of bed in the warm months, I can remember searching for her in the mornings. Inevitably she could be found in the flower beds. Being a typical female I was never going to garden like my mother. Boy, was I surprised when I planted my first flower, then my first flower bed. I've been hooked ever since. My favorite flower is a hosta probably since I began with shade gardening.
Reading. Avid reader. So many books, so little time. Seriously I can get bored of this too. But not for a long while. Right now, I am reading 4 books:
The Hegemon by Orson Scott Card
Fires in the Bathroom - about highschool kids
A Teacher's Toolbox
A Survival Guide for Teacher's
And 4 more that I've started and need to finish

Organizing. Is it possible to have too many organizing elements in the home or at work? NO! I am not sure where this began for me, suffice it to say around the time I had my son. I really remember the multitude of material I had shoved in an open cabinet being an eyesore and needing to do something about it. So every trip we made to Wal-Mart I picked up a storage box until I had the cabinet organized. But I also remember when Steve was remodeling our son's bedroom, before he was born, and having him recess ledges to store/display old toys and such. But it could have also began with Martha Stewart, I take what she said and made it my own. Learning. The number 1 thing I can not get away from is learning. I yearn to be in a classroom on either side of the equation. I seem to enjoy languages: sign language being one my son and I are working on.
