Alliances: As You Slowly Fade From My Heart

Lady Shadow

Chapter Two: To Watch Unseen

Severus glared at his students. There was something not quite right today. Out of habit, his eyes strayed to Harry Potter, not so much because Potter actually made trouble, but just to check if he was okay. His eyes narrowed further. Harry was paying attention and taking down his notes, but he had this glazed sort of look on his face, as if he wasn't actually hearing what was going on; Severus *knew* that look. Giving the class a few minutes to catch up, he turned his back and pretending like he was doing something at his desk. He closed his eyes and allowed all the background noise to fade until...there! His eyes snapped open and he understood what was happening. He could now feel the faint buzz at the back of his head as the Dark Lord went through him to get into Harry's head. Breath hitched, he slowly turned back to his class, eyes immediately going to Harry. What was the boy facing right now? He decided he would find out and quickly finished his last thought on the Crysillian Potion before telling the class to get out their text and study for their upcoming test.

"And do not make any noise. I have things to do and headache on top of that." The class was absolutely shocked; Severus Snape never gave them *class time* to study for a test. However, no one questioned and everyone gladly got out their textbooks and quietly studied for the test. No one noticed that Harry was staring at his parchment with glazed eyes and hadn't moved to get his text out.

Severus sat behind his desk and trained his eyes on a thick text in front of him, but he didn't read any of it. Wind whistled through his hair and Severus slowly opened his eyes. He was seated in what appeared to be a Quidditch stand. Eyebrows coming together, Severus got up and went to the side of the stand and looked down. He was looking at a Quidditch pitch: brilliant green bathed in light, but surrounded by darkness. A perfect brilliant pitch but for one flaw. The small black dot in the center. With uncanny certainty, Severus understood that single black dot was the Dark Lord. His breath hitched and he spun wildly; looking for Harry, for the door...for anything. Upon closer inspection he found that stands he was seated in were only the benches and were suspended seemingly in midair. He cursed and re-doubled his efforts to find his young student.

Severus was near panic when Harry suddenly appeared on his broom; he was headed straight for Voldemort.

"NO!" Severus screamed, but there was a sudden violent wind that stole his words and brutally tore them apart. Harry hadn't heard him. Severus watched in agony as Harry Potter flew toward his certain doom when he suddenly whipped around and went the other direction. He watched in confusion as Harry flew in a determinedly erratic path almost as if he were...chasing aSsnitch? Then suddenly he understood; this was Harry's subconscious he was in, and it had recognized the threat Voldemort presented and had provided him with a weapon he had no choice but to pursue. Whether the boy actually knew what to do with it remained to be seen. Clutching the railing desperately, Severus watched as he completed a flip and caught the small winged golden ball. Then suddenly he wasn't on his broom anymore and Severus wasn't in the stands. He looked around in mild confusion before he realized he was on the pitch and Harry was next to him.

"Watch Severus..." He recognized his Master's voice immediately and was set to shaking. Harry apparently hadn't heard. Severus watched warily as Voldemort brought his hands up and began clapping.

"Very impressive." He called. Harry whirled to face him, eyes narrowing, hand clutching his weapon so tightly that his knuckles were white. "Very impressive indeed." Harry took on a more defensive stature and barked,

"What do you want?!" There was a remarkable amount of amusement in Voldemort's voice when he spoke again.

"I would like to re-proposition you, Mr. Potter." Harry took an unconscious step backwards as Voldemort reached out and gently placed a formless hand against Harry's cheek. "You and I would be so good together..." Harry jerked away from him as though he'd been burned.

"What do you want me for? A bedmate or a dark wizard?" Severus winced; the boy did catch on quickly.

"Both, darling. Both." Voldemort answered with a laugh. Severus was suddenly stripped of his ability to speak or move when Voldemort removed the covering over his face to reveal the newly restored body Snape had helped him to procure. Harry winced dramatically and looked as though he might be sick. Severus prayed his wouldn't release the one weapon he had to go for his wand, which would be absolutely useless.

"You don't like my appearance? I could change it for you, Harry. I could be anyone you want..." Harry stepped back as Voldemort took a step foreword. "Let me love you, Harry." He purred, his voice honey sweet. Severus shook and fought against his bonds wildly but they wouldn't give. Voldemort took another step and Harry stopped suddenly as though he was caught under the same spell his teacher was. "You'll like it, I promise. I'll love you and you'll love me..." He bent his head down and captured Harry's lips in a deep passionate, yet sensual kiss. "And you'll be mine, and we'll rule the world together. You and I." He continued softly, moving his lips inches away from Harry's in order to speak. Severus' body was wracked with sickening shudders again and he felt bile rise to his throat. Harry slid his free hand up Voldemort's chest and wrapped his arm around his neck; the man smiled in triumph as Harry drew him back down for another slow sensual kiss that suddenly turned violent when Harry thrust his tongue into the older man's mouth. Severus found himself wracked with sobs and kept repeating 'no, no, no' inside his head. Voldemort moaned and wrapped both his arms around Harry's waist and down to grasp his ass, pulling him roughly towards his body. Harry pulled away fractionally leaving Voldemort's mouth open and wanting. Snape now seriously regretted restoring the man's sex drive as well as his body.

"Not in a million years you fucking bastard." Harry whispered quietly. Severus stopped struggling suddenly and went over the words again. Harry's hand seemed to move in slow motion as he unthinkingly shoved his fist into Voldemort's chest. A look of surprise and shock overcame him as he realized that the one thing he had over looked was killing him. Harry jerked his hand back roughly and stumbled backwards. Looking positively flabbergasted, Voldemort clutched his chest, looking up to Severus for aid. However, since he had bound Severus in place, the potion's master couldn't help him if he had wanted to. He seemed to understand this and fell on to Harry's shoulders. The boy remained still as he watched this dark fair-faced man slide to the ground. However, he hadn’t anticipated the dying man’s sudden strength, and was pulled down with him. Severus tried to scream again as Voldemort brought their lips together in a brutal purposeful kiss. Harry attempted to struggle away from him but could so he settled for screaming.

From Severus' point of view, Harry Potter was suddenly alight with a bright green haze before the body under him went limp and he flew backwards, falling onto his pack and looking around in pain and confusion, screaming, "Make it stop! Make them shut up!" over and over. As the last of the red light over Voldemort's body faded, Severus was suddenly released. He stumbled forward and gathered the prone projection of his student into his arms. Harry passed out.
