My Favorite Place to Visit
Las Vegas.... I once had an apartment behind Hard Rock Hotel. I didn't stay there too long but it created a life time of memories. It is one thing I can check off on my life's "to do" list. I learned so much about myself during my time there. I was by myself in this great city. A desert valley surrounded by mountains. I made many new friends there and I miss them very much. Why did I leave? you ask.. Well lets just say that no matter how far you run away from something, it doesn't make it go away. I like to think that I was running to something out there, what that is will always be my own personal secret.
If you are ever in the need for some serious soul searching within yourself, Vegas is the place. It's the city of lost souls. Now, of course, this is all without gambling and night life, I didn't gamble once while there, and was on the strip maybe once. It's great for people watching. If you are a skier, well there is mountains everywhere. If you are a hiker, Red Rock Canyon is great for that and climbing as well. And if you are ever in need of a wonderful view, take a ride up to Sunrise Mountain on the east side of town, and go there at night. You can see all of Las Vegas, even the headlights on the highway over on the opposite side of the valley, those folks are coming from California. So take a vacation from taking a vacation and see Vegas outside of the Strip, be a local and I am sure you'll have a lifetime of memories as well.
Here is a picture of the apartments I used to live in... boy I sure do miss it out there!!

My Favorite Music Artist
Sarah McLachlan
I've met her once. She signed one of my CDs, and I got my picture taken with her. She has a way with capturing lifes emotions in her music and lyrics. Her music has moved me on many occasions. Her angelic voice is mesmerizing and captivating. I have seen her in concert several times both on an off the Lilith Fair Tour. Seeing her perform live is the most enjoyable experience. I even had the rare opportunity of sitting up close in 4th row!! What a show that was!!
Standing in line over 5 hours was worth it on this hot July day in 1997. I was able to watch Sarah perform about 4 or 5 songs at a Borders Books & Music store, then I got to meet her and get her autograph. If it wasn't for this picture, I'd have thought it was all a dream.
My Surfacing CD jacket is one of those rare ones without her signature on it. The whole CD case itself has a slip cover that goes over the plastic case, and it is that slip cover that has the manufactured signature on it like all the regular CD jackets. I had Sarah sign this jacket, so mine has her actual signature rather than a manufactured one. And she used a gold ink pen so it shows up so nice. This is one of my prized posessions.

Photography has always been one of my biggest hobbies. While on a cruise a few years ago I took this picture of a church in Barbados. You wouldn't know by looking at it but I had to get into an awkward position to take it. What's interesting about this church is that most of the cemetary is on the right side, now look at the condition of the tree on the right side.

My Favorite Sports Team
The 1997 & 1998 Stanley Cup Champions!! Though tickets are hard to come by these days, I have been to several regular season games and a handful of playoff games. There is nothing like watching a live Red Wings game...the fans, the goals, the energy is all so incredible. I have met both Chris Osgood and Joey Kocur and received thier autograph. I also have had the honor of holding up the Stanley Cup.
Marty LaPointe (pictured) is my favorite player.
