Tossing the now useless sabre away one of Jeric's arms formed into a buster. Although woefully inadiquit against Zero's armor he started firing while searching about for a piece of anything he could pry off as an imprompu weapon.
Zero put his saber back into its place, cracking his knuckles he slowly walked towards Jeric, savouring the final moments before the kill.
Jeric smerked
slightly at zero's advance as his free hand gripped a protruding piece of metal
along the wall he was standing by. Carefully he aimed for zero's face and fired
several quick shots at the crimson reploid's eyes. Suddenly a good length of
reenforcement bar was in his hands, pitiful against a beam sabre but it was
better than nothing.
OOC: sorry but i can't think right, haven't been
able to anyway for the past few weeks, do as you like with the character but i
ask that you at least give him a half decent fight or
somethingornother.
Sine was walking
down the hallway in the basement when she ran into Sandstar.
"Hey, come on,
something appears to be happening upstairs," Sandstar tells her.
"Oh really,
Sand? Then what are ya doing down here?" Sine replies.
"Just getting some of
my equipment," he responds before walking past her and starts to go up the
stairs. Sine gives him a wierd look and follows him to the ground level.
"I
bet we missed all the fun by now anyways...." she grumbles as she
climbs.
Flair tapped her
foot impatientley at the elevator doors, humming some death metal song. Suddenly
a loud BANG resulting in a foot shaped indent appeared in the door directly in
front of her. She regained her balance and folded her arms to think for a second
before deciding to act.
Lucky for her she could follow the culprit who
was kicking there way up the elevator shaft by leaping up the stairs and
listening to the BANG-ing noises. Some people got in the way, but they'd be fine
in a week or two. That's what Robot Rescue was for, anyway.
OCC: Just to
be clear that is Kage she is following.
Mai thought about the robot rescue workers, began to feel guilty, and stepped back into the elevator, pressing the button for the top floor once again. "Alright, in-out, if there's a smoke screen he should be in too much of a craze to recognise my power... and then we'll just wait it out, as long as there isn't another maverick attack." As she spoke, the elevator was sealed and quickly filled with opaque smoke, ready to be sprayed out as soon as it was released.
Zero covered his
face and rolled to the side, his armour having a slight covering of black streaks
from the buster shots, his laughing had become a quiet sniggering as he stood
back up,slowly advancing on Jeric.
"how interesting,I remember bashing a
pipe like that over Sigmas head, oooh the sound it made"
---
Kage
kept silent as he continued up the shaft,a thin black aura started to appear
around him as he neared the top floor.
---
Sigma wearily walked
around the maverick base, watching reploids and humans prepare for war...was he
really doing the right thing forcing a fight that by all rights they can`t
win.
"I can't take it
anymore!" one of the reploids cried out, "We're just sitting here waiting to be
turned into eletcial mops! I'm outta here!" And with that, he jumped and ran
off.
Rock: No! Wait!
Crash was
bewildered, and off balance. Very off balance, it seemed. In fact.....the
cieling was at the wrong angle, too.
Crash hefted himself upright, and
shook his head, trying to realign his gyros and stay on balance. Something had
knocked him over, and it wasn't the usual huge piece of rubble or plasma blast.
Crash caught banging noises, and tried to figure where they were coming
from. He estimated one of the upper levels, and resolved to get there. Of
course, he didn't wnat to get stuck in another elevator (as had happened too
many times already) and took to the stairs, going full tilt for the
noise.
Leaping out of the
elevator shaft Kage slammed into the opposite wall, quickly pulling himself out
of the rubble he ran past several fleeting reploids, putting one hand onto his
back, the red scarf he wore that covered his mouth trailed behind him in two long
tails while his black armour was dulled by the dust of plaster work.Leaping he
shoulder charged into Zero, knocking the crimson warrior off his feet,Kage
quickly drew a long pole from a holster on his back and it stretched out with a
blade quickly firing out from it,forming his scythe. His voice was
distorted, sounding like 4 voices speaking at once.
"everyone
out!"
The three remaining reploids decided to obey and scattered for the stairs after their fourth member.
At about the same Kage shouted the order, the other elevator's doors opened, spewing thick smoke into the area. Two of the members of Robot Rescue were yanked in from behind just before they reached the stairs. "Hey, what happened to the other two?"
The two remaining
reploids looked at each other and shuddered.
"Wh-what're we going to
do!?" the first asked.
"What else!? Find them!" said the other, then
paused, "After things calm down."
Meanwhile, in the elevator, Rock
and ProtoX couldn't see anything but smoke, but they knew they were being
strained by someone.
Jeric didn't know wether to be thankfull he got bailed out before Zero had the chance to finish things off or pissed that he actually needed it. So, with that conflict in mind, he just stood there glaring at Kage. "And you are?"
"your guardian
angel called Larry now move it!"
Kage quickly spun the scythe around in
time to block Zeros blows,it was taking everything the reploid had to make sure
he didn`t get scratched by the glowing sword,as he tried to counter Zero hit his
dash and circled round Kage only missing by a hair as the fringes of the scarf
got lightly singed.
Scowling briefly
Jeric headed for the stairs, and right into Crashmanga.
"Owe, damnit
watch it tiny." Ducking past the walking stockpile he headed for Records and
Accounting to see what damage he could do to their bookkeeping, and possibly
pocket a little for himself.
The two Robot
Rescuers stood there and shook.
"C-Come on! Let's get out of
here!"
"B-But what about Rock and ProtoX?"
"They'll be fine!
They've gotten out of worse situations."
"I-I don't know!"
"COME
ON!"
The first reploid grabbed the second one started running down the
hall in hopes of finding an elevator that doen't vomit smoke.
Kage continued to
dodge Zeros attacks, leaping from wall to wall and even skimming across the
ceiling and vaulting over his attacker, buying as much time as he could.Spinning
the scythe and keeping it balanced on one arm quickly side steps out of Zeros
path and cracks him over the skull with the backend of the weapon, letting out a
sigh he lifts it above his head before suddenly Zero began to glow and
disappeared.
"....fuck he escaped...."
Balancing the scythe on one
shoulder Kage looked at the fallen female reploid and sighed before walking over
to the smoke spewing elevator.
"anyone home?"
Rock: Just a couple
of old reploids lost in a smoke screen.
ProtoX: I'd use my heat sensors,
but they aren't working right now.
Mai stepped out as the smoke began to dissapate, "Well, I was hoping to rescue these two and their friends, who've disapeared, but I wasn't expecting the ****ing repliroid typhoon."
Hearing all the
noise upstairs after getting to the ground level (I assume there is alot of
noise?), Sine and Sandstar look at each other.
"Looks like there is some fun
still left for us after all," Sine said, breaking their silence.
"Indeed,"
Sandstar replies. Motioning Sine to follow him, he heads for the stairs. "And a
bet this is probably the best way to get up there," he says.
"Right, well,
lets just hurry up," Sine replied, running up the stairs to the next floor while
Sandstar remained a little behind, getting some of his explosives ready for a
fight.
Flair made it up
the stairs first. The entire floor seemd to suffer quite a bit of damage, there
had obviously been a fight. She saw three hunters who weren't in top shape being
confronted by the infamous maverick, Kage.
"Damn! Where's Zero when you
need 'im?!" She cursed.
"Time to pay, maverick!" She ran headfirst at her
known enemy, ready to unleash her firey wrath.
Crash, being
knocked into ONCE MORE, attempted to retainhis balance, however, being top heavy
and on stairs, found it much more difficult than he'd like.
Crash went
head over heels down the stairs, and the only thought that went through his head
as he barreled down was "Well, it's faster than walking..."
"how do you think I
feel, this was meant to be a solo op..."
Kage looked over at the
approaching hunter and darted to the side,a black beam igniting from his buster
barrel.
"I do not wish anymore violence, you can still come out of this in
one peice"
"Shut your
face-hole!" Flair leaped up to the ceiling to avoid the beam. When she landed
she slammed her fist into the ground as hard as she could, shaking the whole
buiding. Suddenly, a stream of flame snaked up the floor and formed itself into
a ring of fire surrounding the maverick.
"This isn't gonna hold the
bastard long." She knew better than to underestimate her oppenents. Flair spoke
to the rescue reploids without removing her eyes from Kage: "Get
help."
Kage fell into the
floor and walked out from behind Flair, calmly taking another few steps before
turning round to face the hunter.
"suprised?"
Rock figured it was time to do something about this whole invasion. He and ProtoX both started reaching for their weapons, focusing on Kage.
While this was going on Jeric was busily hunting for an operating computer terminal. Although his skills as a figther had grown rusted through disuse over the years his skills at the keyboard and at tools have stayed as sharp as ever.
Kage looked over at
them.
"time goes by and memories die....maybe that lil ryhme is true...I
suggest you both run,I`ve done the damage I plan on doing"
The two just stood
there and waited. They'd stay out of the way, but if anything happened to Flair,
they would be there to ship her over to Robot Rescue.
The RR van
returned. Fig and Gato got out and headed for the elevator. The two reploids
that made it back told them that Rock and ProtoX were still at Hunter Base,
being held as hostages for ransom for all they knew. The two took the stairs on
the otherside of the elevator. They knew if there was a fight still going on and
they used the elevator itself, they would be gone before they even
struggled.
"I told you shut it, asshole!" Flair shouted in frustration and let loose a wave of fire.
throwing his hand
up in an uppercut a wave of darkness swept over the fire and extinguished
it.
"....final warning.."
ProtoX has had
enough.
ProtoX: I'm GONNA KILL YOU! (He charges at Kage with his PX-Staff
pointed, blade first, towards the ground)
Rock: NO! PROTOX, GET BACK
HERE! He's too dangerous!
Kage whipped round
to look at Proto X and in a flash he was standing down the corridor leaning
against the wall.
"....."
Rock yelped and ran
down after ProtoX.
ProtoX: Dammit! That guy is annoying!
Rock: I
told you not to fight him. Let's just get out of here before Fig and the others
start to worry.
ProtoX: But if we don't protect Hunter Base, that
maverick, there won't be anything left to protect us.
Rock: What's the
point of doing this anyway? Zero isn't the same guy he used to be...maybe we
should switch sides for now.
ProtoX glared at Rock.
ProtoX: Are
you out of your mind!? Robot Rescue is still under Maverick Hunter alliance.
Breaking it now will label us all as mavericks. Think of the humans who worked
here!
Rock: But bro....
"think of the
humans being opressed by the hunters, think of the reploids labelled as mavericks
just because they don`t fight for the hunters....maybe when you see the big
picture you`ll understand whats going on"
Kage sighed and looked over at
them,a black aura building up around his hands.
ProtoX snarled.
Rock put his hands on his chest area to keep him from going at Kage in a fit of
rage and determination.
Rock: Come on, ProtoX. Let's go. We've seen
enough.
By then, Fig and Gato appeared, seeing Rock and ProtoX and Kage
in the distance.
Gato: What the...?
Fig: I'm not going to ask,
let's just get Rock and ProtoX back to the center.
Mai sighed and pulled out her guns, still keeping the appearance of a human. She focused one on Kage, "Alright, moral conjectures aside, you don't seem to be the most popular person in this building, I suggest you leave right now if you're really finished. I appreciate that you've stopped Zero's current tantrum, but that doesn't change the fact that you're a Maverick. Regardless of what that term used to mean, now it means we're on opposite sides. Personally, I'd rather not face you head-on at the moment, you're pretty good, but facing a swarm of enemies far different from one-on-one, especially when we're in our right minds."
"maybe but I`ve
been used to fighting against swarms, never was in favour of a sure
thing"
Kage flexed his hands, the darkness flowing off his fingers and
disappating into the air, pushing off the wall he decides to head off, stopping
before he reaches the end of the hall.
"soon your going to need to look
back at what side your on and decide which you should join"
Everyone but Rock
just glared at Kage as they helped a frustrated ProtoX towards the stairs. Rock
seemed to be the only one who can no longer decide who to trust, but he doesn't
show it.
But he knew trying to get Robot Rescue to turn on Hunter Base
would result in them being slaughtered before they can even escape. Afterall,
not a lot of humans had any experiance with fighting a reploid. Plus, Lab 14 was
still working on the program to elimiate any chances of going completely
beserk.
And being the last to Light Bots alive, the brothers were
planning on finding a way to revive X, but couldn't find the material to do
so.
