Magic School
Hmmmm... I wonder
what this is about. Actually I suppose I already know. It will start on Magic
School. The real thing. And you don't need to be human, but if your drastically
non-human and the only one like yourselt it might get a little lonely. This is
another one of those cool things where it doesn't matter where the story goes.
It just starts out we're all in magic school. We're all starting out just going
so everyone has almost equal opportunity to add to the environment of the
school. This is a the joining
form:
Name:
Description:
Race?:
Handed:(righthanded/lefthanded/ambidextrous/stuff)
Age:
Major:
Minor:(if
any)
Stuff:(You can replace stuff with your own catagory, or leave it blank,
or replace it with more than one catagory. It matters not to me.)
I might
update the sheet later. I hope this one doesn't flop like my
others.
EDIT: Stupid smileys.
I'll prolly join, I
just need some more input. Explain, what do we do? I realize we merely fill out
this form, but what is it about? We need a few moe specifics, or I do, to
actually join. And you all know you want me to join, you know you like my
writing style, don't you?
Well, enough feeding of the ego, can you give us a little more general
information? Like the setting, and is this like Harry Potter? Because it
certainly seems so.
Actually I was
hoping you would join Crash.
Now that you mention it it does seem alot
like Harry Potter, but that's not at all what I had in mind. It's not like that
with the muggles and everything. Hopefully We'll keep this pretty far away from
that but there's not much I can do. I'm leaving alot of the setting and how to
do magic and stuff up to the participants. And differant magics are done
different ways.
The handedness part actually does play a pretty important
part, and it doesn't really have to do with wands or anything like you might
think. Unless you absolutley need to know you'll find out what when I show you
in the actual thing.
You can also completely make up your race or major
or whatever. Like Pyromancy and stuff like that. Go crazy, (almost) free
reign.
Name:
Ein
Description: Black hair, white tanktop, denim pants.
Race:
Human
Handed: Right

Chameleo

beige
Race: Reptile/human hybrid
Handed: Right
Age: 17

Illusion
Minor: Forest based magic
Stuff: Keeps his favorite sword, Sting,
in his room. A blade that glows green of varying brightness, depending on
imminent danger or malicious intent toward him.
Sound good? I'm actually
looking forward to this, and I'll be sure and shove this away from Potter. I was
just using that as a reference. And I'm sure by now you've all seen how I can
steer these things in any direction I want, and still keep it fairly fun. I'm
manipulative, aren't I?
Yeh Crash. Of
course.
Mine that I should be editing:
Name: Vairen Silverstorm (I
like that name. Vairen

kinds of swords. Or with multiple weapons.

mostly in an elven community and often persecuted by the other children and
sometimes even adults because he was only half-elf. He put in a... uh... resume
I suppose to go to Magic School and left as soon as he was accepted.

EDIT: Sorry, I
just graduated High School a few weeks ago and this might be my first time going
to collage so there might be a few mistakes...
Umm... White-Jet? The Major and Minor spaces are stuff like in college. If you go to college you could major in Mechanical Engineering for instance and minor in Computer Programming. It's that kind of thing.

to him by his father.
I was wondering who
our necromancer would be. Cool.
Should I just start this? Nothing
seems to be happening. So you're all done right? I can start?
START!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Go ahead.
OOC: Remember you
can pretty much do what you want. Go crazy.
Vairen sighed with relief as
the coach stopped. He was finally going to school. Finally going to be away from
all those elves that kept making fun of him. As he got out he noticed the
building seemed rather small. Only about 7 meters squared. This couldn't be the
right place could it? It didn't look near big enough. He turned to get back on
the coach but it was already speeding off at the horizan. He was in the middle
of nowhere standing in front of this one little buildin. He sighed, "Oh well,
yet another problem plaguing my life." He walked up to the door and decided that
he might as well try. When he was about to knock a tall dark man opened the
door. "You are expected." Bewildered Vairen followed the man. Something bothered
him about his guide. When he realized what it was Vairen almost ran. "You're
a..." They had just been standing there at the back of the one-room building for
a while. The man was apparently waiting for something. He cut Vairen off. "Step
though." Then Vairen noticed a black rippleing mirror right in front of him.
"Wha..." The man cut him off again. "Step through." Holding his breath, and
closing his eyes, Vair stepped into the mirror.
OOC: Please just post
how you get there for now. I would like to do the introduction to the
school.
Ein: If you wanna
be happy for the rest of your life! Doo dee doo doo doo doo doo dee doo! From my
personal point of-
Coach: Please STOP.
Ein: But it's only the 27th time
I've sung it!
Coach: We're here, thank the gods.
Ein stepped out and
continued humming the song. The coach sped off at a high speed. Ein stepped up
to the building's door and followed the man there. He stepped through the mirror
without care.
OOC: You didn't need to do it the same way I did, but that's fine.
Mako: Well. Here
you go sis. Get off of my bike and have fun.
Naomi: Thanks bro. You're
the best.
Mako: Yeah yeah.
Naomi watched as somebody walked
through a mirror.
Naomi: I guess I have to go through there.
She
ran as hard as she could and went through the mirror.
Mako: Hope she has
fun.
After a long and harrowing ride, Chameleo finally arrived. He looked at the mirror, and sighed. He took a deep breath, and stepped through, and arrived on the other side........
Shadows rippled and
deformed as the two cowled figures rose from the floor. The figures bodies were
obscured by the voluminous robes they wore but it was clear from the stature of
the second one that he was a adolescent.
"The Shadow's Gate." The taller
figure spoke, "You are here to learn spells like these and become a powerful
wizard."
"Yes, father..." The smaller figure mumbled.
"I know you wished
to learn with me but there are things that I cannot teach you." The figure
placed his hand on the smaller one's shoulder, "Now go my son."
Alimar nodded
reluctantly, tightened his grip on his staff and strode through the
mirror.
Liger Zero stopped
near the building as the cockpit opened. White-Jet jumped out with her T.A.X
plushie on her shoulder. The others were resting in her back pack, their upper
bodies sticking out.
Once out of the cockpit, Liger Zero glowed and
shrunk into a Zoid plushie. White-Jet picked up the little plushie and headed to
the door. She wondered if anyone other than her Plushiemon were going to find
out she was a shapeshifter trying to learn a few spells and other
subjects.
The man at the door led her to the mirror. White-Jet was unsure
at first, but some incouragement from T.A.X gave her the guts to enter it. So
she walked through and found herself in a differen't place.
Is it too late for
me to join?
Name: Cadrien
Description: wears a leather jacket, dark
jeans, and very dark sunglasses
Race: unknown, assumed human
Handed:
righthanded
Age: 14
Major: Shadow magic
Minor: Demonology (handling and
summoning)
Stuff: Orphaned, grew up with his only friend a small winged demon
named Prorewyr, who can only speak in shreiks and screeches. They both like to
get into mischief, and love playing tricks on people. Despite never having
attended school, he is literate (self-taught), and naturally skilled in magic
having to do with shadows and darkness, particularly concealment and
intimidation. He can also phase through things by turning into
shadow.
Cadrien was dragged along by the truant officer, trying madly
to phase through her arms. "Sorry, kid, that's not going to work with me."
Prorewyr also tried to swoop at the officer, but there was a ward around them,
and he always bounced off a few inches away. "You're coming with me to school
and you're gonna stay there whether you like it or not this time." It had to be
at least the third time he had been taken in, and had escaped every time before.
But now, she seemed determined to make sure he stayed in school this time.
Rather than taking him to usual orphanage, she took him down to non-descript
blank wall with a doorway etched in it. She waved her hand across the bricks and
muttered a well-learned spell. A section of it melted away into a rippling black
vortex, into which she dragged the boy. As it closed, the small red demon
swooped down and into the inky portal.
OOC: Heh. Cool. Glad you joined. And if anyones been wondering why I'm not continuing onwards I'm waiting for Tia.
Ehehe...I have a
question for this IFF...can you let Cor join if he wants to? I'll let him get on
tonight if possible so he can sign up.
-------
Erekiteru sighed
and looked around at the sky. She finally reached this place on foot and looked
at the small building. her ears twitched gently as she sighed, being different
had it's downs.
She moved into the small place and stepped through a large
mirror.
----------
OOC: YAY!!! CADRIEN AND THE DEMON THINGIE!!!
*HUGS*
OOC: Cor can join,
but he'll have to arrive at school late or something because I really want to
get going.
Vairen looked around the small room he was in, the torches on
the walls cast an eirie glow around the walls. There was a surprisingly small
number of other new students, of varying ages. Everywhere from twelve to 20 it
appeared. Some looked to be even younger, but for some reason Vair doubted they
were that young. There was only about 20 of them total. as the all sat hudled in
the dark room. A bat-like little man seeming ly appeared out of no-where and
stood in front of them. Dark figures were blocking all the exits. The little
bat-man cleared his throat, "I suppose you all know where you are, so I wont go
into that, and I also suppose you all know what you're here for. So I wont go
into that either. But before we start I want to clear some of the major
misconceptions about magic. You there." He pointed directly at Vair. "Are you
right or left handed?" Vair squirmed uncertainly, "Neither sir..." The man
started for a moment, "Ah yes, your one of those. See me after we're done. You!
Are you right or left handed?" He pointed at a little were-wolf pup. "I'm left
handed sir." The man nodded. "You're magically right handed then. One of the
greatest miss-conseptions about magic is that if your best physically with your
right hand you will be best magically with your right hand as well. That is not
so. Most people are split in two, one side magical, or mental, spiritual,
whatever you want to call it. The other side physical. An anchor into the
physical realm. Today your day is almost free. For you all to get adjusted to
the new time-zone, and for you to practice with your non-dominant physical hand.
You will need to be much more adroit with it than normal to acheive the complex
hand movements much magic requires. And do not stray into the upper levels. You
can but I would not advise it. That is where the more advanced students dwell,
and they are not exactly kind towards newlings. The day is yours." He seemingly
faded into the flickering shadows.
Chameleo looked around. "Hm, well that sucks. Now I have to use a hand I can barely feel. Great....." He sighed, then leaned against the wall. "I don't know if I want to go anywhere for a while."
There was a rattle in Alimar's robes as Boneboo began to stir, Alimar scooped out the undead hamster and placed it on his shoulder. Small calcified whiskers twitched as he sniffed the unfamiliar air. Several of the students backed away from him. Necromancers, even students weren't the most popular wizards to be around. Alimar decided he would do some practice with his left-hand, even though he was pretty deft with it. He sighed and skulked deeper into the shadows.
Chameleo arched an eyebrow at the dead hamster. "Necromancy? Cool." Chameleo made an apparition of himself walking down a hallway, then made it appear as though a trap door opened up below him, and he fell to his death. He then stopped the illusion and smiled. "Heh, illusion is my forte. Fun."
Ein was whistling
the 1812 Overture, creating small flames in his right palm.
Ein: Never
tried it with the left hand.
Ein held out his left hand and suddenly a
large flame erupted, lighting up most of the room. It quickly
vanished.
Ein: Hey, the vampire was right.
OOC: *Cadrien:
0_o()* Heh heh... Cadrien's not exactly the hugging type ;D
IC: After the
introduction, the truant officer took Cadrien by the hand once more and pulled
him over to one of the dark figures. They conversed solemnly for a while and she
turned to face the boy. "You will not be allowed to leave the grounds without
one of the staff with you, and you will be kept under special watch. Be warned,
I'll be nearby at all times if I'm needed, so stay out of trouble." She then
turned back to the figure and handed it a business card-like peice of paper.
"Remember, just call and I'll come a soon as I can."
It nodded, "Yes, Officer
Idunnor."
She dissapeared in a brief burst of green flame. Cadrien looked
around the room, "Well, I like the decor." Prorewyr, now free from the warding
spell, swooped from a torch and perched on his shoulder. They both grinned as he
got a similar reaction to Boneboo. Necromancy was one thing, but
demons?
Vairen just stood
around looking for a while. The strange bat-man had told Vair to see him after
the introduction was over but then he just disappeared. Vair was about to just
go join the others when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was the man from
before. The one in the room with the portal. "Follow Me." The man led him
towards the wall where the bat-man disappeared, he touched the wall and a brick
sunk in with a click. The wall slid down to reveal a set of stairs. "Down
there." With a gulp Vairen started down the stairs.
OOC: Do you
people forget that I said you can do whatever you want with the school? About
how magic is done and how the school is run? Or about anything at all... at the
end of this there might not even be a school anymore. Don't be restrained. It
can't be taht bad a plot/setting type thing. I was orriginally going to say
something else but now I forget.
OOC: Actually, I
think everyone is acting very logically in this. They're all just starting out,
after all. They aren't going to be especially skilled in their craft, except for
our resident Necromancer. Dam, I wish I'd remembered that. Oh well, forest magic
contains a few demons as well.....
IC: Chameleo watched the others, then
walked off down the hallway. He was bored. To keep safe, however, he sent ahead
a sort of double, an illusion of himself, to see if anything attacked it. He
didn't trust the people here worth a tin shit.
Ein walked after
Chameleo.
Ein: He looks like fun.
Vairen shivered as he creeped down the stairway. There was no railing or lights, so he had to be very carefull. If he tripped and fell over the side there was no telling how far he'd drop. This place was very disturbing in every way. When he approached the landing he saw a very ornately carved hardwood desk, stained bloodred. And in the red velvet highbacked chair behind it was the bat-like man. His large bat ears twitching. "Ambidextrous," he said "There are not many of you with the gift. Not many at all." He gave a grim sort of chuckle. "What is your major?" Vair started at the shift of conversation. "I'm going into Battle-Magics Sir." The man stood and slowly paced over to the young half-elf. "Well... ummm..." Vair didn't know what kind of answer his inquisitor was looking for. "I'm not saying that was a bad choice. I'm just wondering if it's the right choice for you... some people only go into what they are told to. Not what they're good at." Vair realized what the man was talking about, "Oh yes. I decided to because I already have some background fighting. My Da was in the army, and he thought I should learn how to fight. So..." The man cut him off. "Yes, yes of course. But why Battle-magics. Why not Magic-smithery or some other trade that involves weapons." Vair was stumped with this question, "I don't know... it just felt right." The strange bat-man smiled at him his overlarge canine teeth gleaming, "That was you first lesson Vairen. Always trust your gut. Now go join the others, you will do well."
Name: Reiko
Valour
Description: Dark orange skin, pokemorph, fire on the end of his thin
tail, large wings, normal ears. His facial features are almost like a
Charmeleons but without the horn on the back of the head and his snout is
slightly more thick, also has tail and wings. Hazel eyes that change with mood.
Clothing: Black Trenchcoat, trainers, black jeans, black tee shirt, black
bandanna
Race?: Pokemorph
Handed: Left handed
Age: 18
Major:
Fire
Minor
if any)
Air
Pet : Eiji a brown and white hawk.
Naomi: Where the
fudge am I? This place is starting to creep me out.
She ran as fast as
she could to keep up with the others.
Reiko took a swipe at the hawk circling his head as he ran towards the school,"quit it Eiji, this is my breakfast already!",he took a bite out of the peice of toast as he ran on,"why am I always late?"
Naomi accidentally
ran into White-Jet without looking. The shock sent her plushies flying. Most of
them landed on their faces. The Liger Zero plushie was the only toy that landed
on its feet. T.A.X was still clinging to White-Jet's shoulder.
White-Jet
began to freak out, remembering the last time someone had run into her and got
snapped at. She began apologizing in a fast voice while the plushies that were
on the floor decided to sit on the lockers for a while and wait to see what
happens.
While Prorewyr
glared menacingly at the students, Cadrien pressed his hands against the wall.
An involuntary shiver went through several of the other kids' spines as his arms
shifted into shadow. "Drat, the walls, too." There was a loud clearing of a
throat behind him, and a cold hand held his shoulder. He was led to the rest of
the group as they left the room, and stayed in the back as they started their
tour of the school. First they were led through a hall to the dorms, divided
into sections based on the six elements of Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Light, and
Dark. Cadrien, naturally, chose a dimly-lit Dark room. The other sections had
semi-elaborate decorations, from the small stream and pool in the blue Water
hall to the rows of torches in the warm, red Fire hall. There were vines growing
up the walls of the floorless, green Earth rooms and large windows opening into
the tan Wind and bright Light halls. Everyone broke off and put what items they
had into the rooms they picked before regrouping in the central meeting room,
which was open to all the halls and had a single door that closed it off from
the rest of the school.
OOC: Perhaps we can each add an element to the
school during the tour?
OOC: Eiji, eh?
Ein was confused on what room to pick for a little while. He
was going into all of the basic four. That's Fire, Water, Earth, and Air/Wind.
After a bit, he decided that his Major elemental would be fine. So he chose a
Fire room. It was rather warm, which he enjoyed somewhat, but it would make the
room stuffy at night, and there were no openable windows. He sighed, unpacked,
and tried whistling another song. He walked around, giving more life to several
dim torches. He then rejoined the rest of the group. He noticed a strange type
of creature next to him. Ein read somethign about this type of race before,
something like pokemorph. Ein was unbiased on types of students,
so...
Ein: Hello, there! My name is Ein. What is your name?
OOC:
One, yes I'm talking about Erekiteru. Two, Tia can post if she inspects her
room, unpacks, etc. before I said hi.
