  ReBoot!

Okay, we're gonna start in a system completly seperate from Mainframe. It is possible that we just might interact with Bob, Fong, Mouse, Turbo, Megabyte, Hexadecimal, or even The Crimson Binome, but probably just cameos, so try to think of your own stuff. Also, don't worry about continuity, just have fun.

Welcome to Console. A large and prosperous system with many binomes and sprites. I don't care if you've been compiling here all your program or if you just got here, but your here. I'd appreciate it if we could try not to have much megaman stuff, because... well you'll see. Wink
Starting limit is 2 characters, PM me if you want more.
Heres the form.

Name:
Format:
Protocal:
Appearance:
Personality:
Origin:
Equipment:
Abilities:
Other:

Here's mine.

Name: Click Font

Format: Moderator

Protocal: To deal justice and maintain balance. He often goes into the games.

Appearance: Click, who has light grey skin, usually wears a black flak jacket with a metallic blue shirt and loose dark grey pants. He's tall and slim, and has cobalt hair in an intricate wiry style. His icon is Metallic red and it's on his back.

Personality: Professional and a straight arrow. Click always focuses on the job at hand first. As a hobby he makes popsicle-stick crafts, like houses or forts of spaceships.

Origin: Click was passed down his job as a moderator from his father, it's been in his family for generations.

Equipment: Shift- A gauntlet that can create small space portals allowing short distance teleportation.

Abilities: Can upload Moderator Protocal into others, and is a skilled fighter, although his physical attributes are not as impressive as most Moderators or Guardians.
Other: Click is currently trying to hunt down a very elusive virus plauging the system.

note: There are no other NPC Moderators in this system. PC Moderators are fine, I just don't want more then 3 of them running around.

Alright, Obscure Roleplay seems to be dead and Life as Standard doesn't seem to be something I can get into.

Do you want to play a game Y/N?

Y

Input character infromation:

Name: Ping MPEG
Format: Mantinance
Protocal: To make new what was broke and to keep what's not running.

Appearance: Light grey/red skin with black hair, about average hight. Generally wears a dark green jumpsuit with a nondescript grey segmented belt with his icon as its buckle, millitary style boots<presumably bought seconed hand>, generally wears a dark green ball cap with a screaming binome painted to look like a baseball embroidered on the front of it.

Personality: Generally friendly, willing to help, nice...but not to be confused with a doormat. As a point of interest he tends to drop subtilty for bluntness when it comes to discussions.

Origin: Compiled off system Ping's spent most of his life bouncing from system to system acting the part of general nice guy maintinance to whoever he judges needs it most, recently got of the boat so to speak at Console in search of a job and a slower pace of life.

Equipment: His belt is something of a jack of all trades swiss army type affair that has a tool for just about any repair work you'd come across<empheses on REPAIR, this ain't batman's utility belt folks, no boomerangs or explosives, just stuff to do patch jobs till others can get there with better equipment>. Also carries a PDA type thing used to hold his journal, notes, any odds and ends he thinks to write down, also plays music via pair of earbuds.

Abilities: Repair, as this says he can fix just about anything that isn't blown completely to slag. However depending on the extent of the problem this could take time and generally if its a big job he will work almost singlemindedly on it till it's fixed to his liking. Can fight to a limited extent, just good enough to buy him time to get out of the vacenity.

Other: Just recently got to Concole and is looking for any job openings as well as housing.

r4r! My favorite 3d cartoon in IFF form!

Name: Lynk

Format: Guardian, Exterminator Class

Protocol: Virus Eliminator Expert

Appearance: Average height, but muscular. Wears the guardian standard issue wear (blue 'armored' jumpsuit with golden, slim shoulderpads). One of the sleeves is torn off, as is part of the leggings.

Personality: Caring and kind. Out of work, that is. During his exterminations he had been reported as efficient and unemotional.

Origin: A resident of Console a very long time ago. At an early age, he was sent to Guardian Training at the Supercomputer and completed his studies with a major in virii removal. He travels from system to system via modem ports for jobs given to him by the guardians. Games are nothing new to him, as he has played a great deal of them in search for viruses hiding in the games.

Equipment: Upon graduation, all guardians are given keytools to uphold the law and fix systems. Lynk's keytool, nicknamed HindSight, is used in virus extraction in many different methods, and moderate repair of tears and lost data.

Abilities: Above average strength and intelligence. His keytool can turn into a variety of things.

Other: Lynk was given an assignment by the Guardian High Command to search out and destroy a virus that was supposed to be hiding in Console.

Protocal: None

Appearance: Long brown hair along with a beard of the same colour, blueish skin and wears a kilt with his shirt looking close to what a guardian wears but it flows instead of being skintight, medium build

Personality: Friendly and always up for good crack

Origin: He has no clue, hes been travelling from different systems for a long time, using the game cubes to get around

Equipment: He carries a keytool called Erlog, he also carries a claymore sword on his back.

Abilities: His body hides his strength but he prefers to use his brains and sword than rely on what form the keytools can turn into.

Other: speaks with a strong scottish accent and is impossible to wake up while asleep.

Um Cor, not sure but I think only guardians can have key tools.

Posted by Corvus on 21.02.2003 at 09:06 PM:

I know but its basically the same job as Enzo,he used to be a guardian, hence the shirt but he ended up getting lost a long time ago and quit being one.

I want to be a game sprite, but I kinda missed the details about that when I watched the show. Cause I missed a couple episodes n' stuff. So could someone perhaps explain it to me or something?

Posted by William Dojinn on 22.02.2003 at 12:18 AM:

Not sure but i think enzo copied andrea to his icon or copied his icon data to andrea.

Posted by KS on 22.02.2003 at 08:10 AM:

Game sprites are, you guessed it, sprites that exist in the games. They are only adept at playing the game that they are in. To the user, they are the NPC's (if sprites and binomes never went into games) of that certain game. The only way that they can leave the game is to transform their icons by tapping twice, like rebooting.

Posted by Sanik on 22.02.2003 at 01:24 PM:

Game sprites are part of a game, consequently they leave with the game, win or lose. Andrea downloaded herself into Enzo's icon, so that she could sneak out of the game herself. When in mainframe Mouse reformatted her icon so that she wasn't really a game sprite anymore. While doing this Mouse also made it so that Enzo, Frisket, and Andrea could revert their icons to game sprite status at any time, so that they could avoid nullification if they lost. Using this, they used the games as a method of travelingfrom system to system, "game hopping" they called it. It's possible that others figured out how to do this as well, like, Ping would probably be smart enough. Obviously Mac had this ability to change icons as well, it's safe to say he gained this form a friend somewhere in his mysterious past.

Nice characters, by the way, good names, too.

Anyway, I'll start it tonight.

Posted by Sokket on 22.02.2003 at 03:09 PM:

Hrrm... I still want to be a game sprite... now I just need to figure out how to do it...

EDIT:

Name: Rox
Format: (Former?) Gamesprite
Protocal: Protocal? What protocal? All he really does is take up space actually... Sigh
Appearance: Yellow skin and an almost black green hair color. He wears a black leather jacket with torn off sleeves over a white sleeveless shirt and blue... umm... jeans? A knife is strapped to his left thigh, he also has silver knee and shoulder pads, and a black fingerless gauntlet on his right hand, and a matching fingerless glove on his left. He is slightly, er... larger than most sprites. But he is fairly slim. Wears a pair of goggles on his forehead over a headband.
Personality: Loud. He is hardly ever at a loss for words. And aggressive, although he's not really mean... he can be nice though. He sometimes acts purely out of spite, and can definately hold a grudge. But he does have his silent, brooding, or reclusive moments. And if you get under all that he can be a nice person. Really, he can. err... sort of. sometimes. Oh, and he's lazy.
Origin: In his game he had been sort of a biker punk/thief type person. And as you can tell from that he used to be a game sprite. Er... he is a game sprite. Or something like that. But then he met Mac and through him, managed to leave the game. Unfortunately withough his bike.
Equipment: His knife. His goggles. His gauntlet.
Abilities: His knife can grow or shrink in either length or width, depending on the situation at hand. His goggles can provide limited x-ray, or 'night' vision. And his gauntlet is mainly for defense, although it can sprout three claws, independantly. He jumps well. And his speed and dexterity are great. But his strenth leaves much to be desired.
Other: This probably goes under personality, but he's a wanderer, and a slack off. The kinda guy who eats and runs. He's been traveling with Mac for a while, a result of which is that he's sorta racked up a lot of bills... as in a very large amount. And people tend to not like him...

A ray of sunlight flashed off one of the four 9-sided towers in the center of the system. It created a beautiful effect but also blinding the hell out of one particular sprite who, at that very moment really didn't need to be blinded.

"Aw come on!" Click shaded his eyes, trying to relocate the virus he had been chasing. As luck would have it, he saw a shadow withdraw into a nearby alley, an alley that Click knew to be a dead end. "Ha! Yes!" Click deftly leapt off of his Zip board and into his newly created portal, hoping to ambush the occupant of the alley. At this he succeeded, but unfortunately it wasn't the target he was hoping for.

Posted by William Dojinn on 23.02.2003 at 01:02 AM:

Ping was wandering aimlessly via hoverboard and foot since he got out of the modem terminal. It was a time to travel, then again for him any time was a good time to travel. He was actually enjoying what the system looked like untill...

"...Hold it right there."

Damnit.

"Whatever you think it was I didn't do it. Hell buddy I just got here." Even so he raised both arms and stepped into better light.

Posted by KS on 23.02.2003 at 08:37 AM:

The transport ship Ether flashed from out of nowhere and came to a halt at Docking Port 1. It was a medium sized ship, intent on carrying passengers, mainly tourists.

Lynk walked out from the east hatch and jumped down to the port, away from the dangerous, streaming data (the ocean or big body of water, one would say).

"HindSight." *Beep* "Virus Tracker."

Lynk's navy blue keytool sprang to life. A moment later, a list sprung up on the keytool's flat, round surface. This list was the data that viruses are made of.

"Jeezus," Lynk commented, "There has to be at least twenty different kinds here. And I only came here looking for one."

Pause.

"Hindsight. IM." A vidwindow appeared and had the word "Connecting" in bold letters. Then a female figure in Guardian apparel appeared.

"Good to hear from you Lynk. What's new on the virus situation in console?"

"Not good Kable. I'm registering twenty different virii in this system alone." She was just about to talk when Lynk interrupted, "And yes, I just system checked HindSight before I got here." She grunted.

"I'll tell the higher ups, then. Just sit tight and wait for a call."

The vidwindow vanished.

"Like hell I will."

Posted by Corvus on 23.02.2003 at 10:35 AM:

From the transport ship jumped two other figures, just looking at one reminded a person of bagpipes, they headed away from the port several other figures chasing after them.

"you n your bloody gambling Rox,if I`d known you woulda been this much trouble I shoulda left ya to rot in that game, shite their coming, quick laddy MOOOOOVE!"

Name: Kilobyte
Format: Virus
Protocol: To destroy you all!!!! Bwahahahahahahaha!!!
Appearance: Similar to the picture except chibi.
Personality: Egomaniac, overdramatic, excitable,semi-evil.
Origin: Kilobyte came to Console in a game. He had been in a great battle and had lost a lot of his power. He regained some energy while traveling in the game and became a chibified version of his former self.
Equipment: Encryption Armor, Viral Blade, Various odd but useless items.
Abilities: He can possess game sprites. He is deceptively strong and can shapeshift for a short time.
Other: Has a pet sprite that resembles a monkey.

Posted by Sokket on 23.02.2003 at 06:59 PM:

Rox dashed keeping up with his companion.
"Sure. Just blame the whole thing on me right? I'm not the one who... er... You're the one who... uh... Well... You should no me better by now than to have trusted me to...! uh... not do that. Or something..."
A shot hit the ground just behind them, punctuated by a shout by Rox. It had probably just been some sort of tool to capture them, but of course... it could also be something a little more... lethal.

Posted by Corvus on 23.02.2003 at 07:02 PM:

Mac looked back at Rox,"you`ve got 5 seconds ta get your arse in gear laddy, speed it the hell up,besides ya brained me with me own bloody sword, which I`ll get you back for,but for now,we run"

Posted by Sokket on 23.02.2003 at 07:17 PM:

Rox grumbled for a bit about how 'unfair' the situation was. But then a smirk came upon his face.
"If you insist." With a sudden burst of speed he leapt and did a flip over Mac, winking and waving with two fingers, before landing and taking off down the street, speeding ahead.

Posted by Corvus on 23.02.2003 at 07:31 PM:

Mac grumbled and ran after him.

"I hate running, sends a draft right up me netherregions"

Posted by William Dojinn on 23.02.2003 at 08:50 PM:

OOC: a chibi garland as a virii. Dis is gonna be good.

Frowning slightly Ping glared down at the overarmed binome. "Well?"

"Well what?" The pulse cannon was aimed for parts of him best left unmentioned. The little ball 'nome glared up at Ping. "Turn your pockets out and gimme your valuables."

Sighing slightly Ping started to comply, then vaulted over the 'nome<hey the little guy ain't more than knee high> and started running for it before hopping on his board, dodging the occasional ill aimed shot.

Great, here five minutes and I get held up by Mr. Mighty Midget. Hope everyone's not like that else I'm hopping the next ship out of here.

Posted by Sanik on 23.02.2003 at 09:06 PM:

Click leaped out of the portal only to land on some round little binome, who was promptly knocked unconcious.

"Oops! Sorry little guy!" Click apologized, but then he spotted another figure fleeing the scene on a zip board. "Hey!" Click shouted, hopping onto his own and giving chase.

Posted by William Dojinn on 23.02.2003 at 09:09 PM:

Nuts, this must be my day to get chased and shot at.

Ping kept flying, going low, almost to the point of skimming the data surrounding Concole propper<the water junk>.

"Catch me if ya can!"

Posted by Sanik on 23.02.2003 at 09:28 PM:

Soon enough Click realized that this rogue was definatly not the virus he was looking for, or even a virus at all. Still, he should question him.

"This is moderator 256, cease your movement and prepare for questioning." Click ordered. Come on, stop...

Posted by William Dojinn on 23.02.2003 at 09:40 PM:

Mod, better stop...great.

He slowed to a halt and turned to face his presuer, "Hey buddy I just got here, almost got mugged by a militaint binome, and now...apparently I'm either in trouble or going in for questioning."

there goes my plans for the day.

Posted by Sanik on 23.02.2003 at 09:56 PM:

Click didn't really feel like questioning anyone right then, but he really should... Luckily at that moment a vidwindow popped up beside him with the system's commander on it. He was short, stocky, and a little annoying but he was the most trustworthy guy the moderator knew.

"Click there's been a disturbance at the docks, go check it out." Moniter left as quickly as he came.

"Uh, stay in school!" Happy to be rescued from the boredom of interrigation, Click wrapped it up then dissapeard through a portal that would close in about five seconds.

Posted by William Dojinn on 23.02.2003 at 10:19 PM:

Thank god for sudden emergancies it seems.

Ping took off as fast as his little board could carry him back to Concole's business district. After several nanos of searching he found a small car shop with a 'now hiring' sign on the front door.

Walking in he saw what you would expect from small time places like this, dirt, filth, parts strewn everywhere, half finished jobs, and a pair of binome legs under one of said jobs.

"Hit the gas again Mike." The binome sitting in the driver's seat did as he was told." Ping listened for a bit then popped the hood, took something out of his belt and started rumaging through. After a little bit it ran better than it did when new.

"Who're you?" The indignated binome from under the car spoke as he slid out from under the vehicle.

"Interested in the open position, still accepting applications?" Ping backed away from the car and looked the shop over.

Both binomes looked him over criticly and nodded. "Ok bud you're hired, can you fix one of those?" He pointed to a large wrecker like thing.

"Gimme a burger, gimme a drink, gimme space to work." Ping smiled as he sized up the problem, a good afternoon's worth work.

Posted by G24 on 24.02.2003 at 06:13 AM:

Kilobyte watched as Mac and Rox ran past. He was only mildly interested in the chase and soon went back to the business of stealing. That is, until Click found him.

Posted by KS on 24.02.2003 at 07:00 AM:

Lynk walked through Console, with Hindsight changed to a miniature radar for virii. At that moment, two blips appeared on the radar. They were bright, telling the Guardian about how dangerous these viruses were.

"Perfect. They seem to be collaborating...Wait. HindSight." *Beep* " Radar, Wide Range."

The small vidscreen on the keytool expanded. There were two different locations for the viruses. One was just closer to him than the other.

"HindSight...Capture Beam." The keytool turned into a miniature net gun. Lynk grinned and walked towards the viral signature.

Posted by Sanik on 24.02.2003 at 09:04 AM:

What luck! Click smiled when he happend upon Kilobyte. He didn't have to scan him to know he was a virus, albeit not the one he was looking for.

"Causing a little disturbace?" The mod readied himself for a fight "You best come quietly, I'd hate to skin my knuckles."

OCC: Jeez KS, twenty viruses? Give me a little credit...

Posted by KS on 24.02.2003 at 10:17 AM:

OOC - Just something to keep me busy XD

Lynk ran down the street, whereas he encountered Click and Kilobyte staring each other down. He held the Capture Gun at chin level just in case this would get out of hand.

Posted by G24 on 24.02.2003 at 04:50 PM:

"You think you can defeat the GREAT KILOBYTE?" Kilobyte said. "You have not the power to tarnish my armor!"

Kilobyte drew his Viral Blade and motioned for CLick to come at him. Then he noticed Lynk pointing a keytool in his direction. He threw down a black orb and for a second or two no one could see. When Lynk and Click regained their sight Kilobyte was gone.

Posted by Sanik on 24.02.2003 at 06:31 PM:

Click snapped his fingers. "Awwww, you scared him off." He told the gaurdian.

Lynk folded his arms, "I could've let him kill you."

"You're new here eh? Welcome to Console, Gaurdian." Click pointed to the icon on his back. "I'm the resident Mod here, Click Font."

Posted by KS on 24.02.2003 at 06:36 PM:

"Lynk. Guardian, Extermination Class," Lynk said in a monotome voice, "I used to be a 'street' resident a long time ago."

He looked at his Capture Gun and motioned it to return to Keytool form. "There's something you should know, Administrator Click. There are a high saturization of viruses in your city." Click rasied an eyebrow. "Don't worry. I've already told my higher ups about this problem. They have yet to tell me on the next move."

Posted by Sanik on 25.02.2003 at 02:32 PM:

"Well as much as I like standing around I think we should get hunting." Click stated,"I mean no disrespect to your superiors, but there isn't any time to waste." Click was more than a little dissapointed in his predessesor, as he had only came back from Administrative training a short while ago.

Posted by William Dojinn on 26.02.2003 at 12:30 AM:

Ping had just finished on the wrecker and put his tools away. "Alright mike, give it one more try." Mike did and it ran...sorta.

"Damnit to net, can't be helped. Too much to do to do a propper job till tomorrow." He sighes and looks at the other binome, "Thank you again for the job."

"Don't thank me lad, just try to be on time tomorrow."

"I will," Ping started wandering again.

Posted by Sanik on 28.02.2003 at 12:49 PM:

"I agree, " Lynk agreed, "HindSight, radar.

Using the keytool they found themselves in a shady sector, mostly alone. The blip was almost in the center of the radar, it was very bright.

"HindSight, 3D." The radar's display shifted, now showing all three dimensions. The virus was just to his left. Click saw and cursed.

"He's stealth!" The mod redied his battle stance and looked threw a couple of kicks at thin air. This yeilded some sinister laughter, but the source was impossible to determine. Click turned to Lynk, "Is that thing totally accurate?"

"Hindsight is 20/20." The gaurdian replied, Click rolled his eyes but got the point.

"Alright, here's what we'll do, you--"

He was cut off by a mechanical voice:

Warning: Incoming Game.

Lynk was shocked to see that the blips on his radar were all heading towards the game cube.

Warning: Incoming Game.

"We've can't go there, they'll eat us alive!" Click tried to reason with the gaurdian.

"I can't ignore the game" Lynk responded.

"This is bad." The moderator clenched his fists.

"This is Very bad." Lynk agreed.

Posted by William Dojinn on 28.02.2003 at 01:33 PM:

Warning: Incomming Game.

Ping looked around for where the cube would drop at. Seeing nothing ahead, behind, and to either side of him he looked up.

Warning: Incomming Game.

He looked straight up and saw that he was almost in the center of where the cube was going to land.

"Nuts..."

Posted by Corvus on 28.02.2003 at 01:35 PM:

Mac and Rox finally came to a stop in a dark area.

"phew finally got away from dem.."

"uh Mac"

"shutup laddy,I`m trying to think...jeezus gets dark around here awful quick"

"MAC!"

"grah,what da hell dya want!?"

Rox just pointed sky-wards.

"aw shite"

Posted by KS on 28.02.2003 at 04:43 PM:

"HindSight, Boosters."

The keytool morphed and transformed into a jetpack with two rear thrusters.

"I'll see you in the game...hopefully."

The engines ignited and Lynk flew off to the game's immediate area.
