She grabbed his
wrist.
"No....hiding and staying behind me..." she looked at him.
"We all
leave...in the morning..."
Cor sighed and held her tight in a hug,"I know.......I know....."
She nuzzled him and
nodded.
"Im gonna miss everyone..."
Cor nuzzled her back and lifted her head up so she was looking at him,"I know but...remember Arthurs wish,we`ll be able to find each other one day again, all of use, just like right now",he kissed her and held her tight in his arms.
India looked at
Arthur.
"You seem pretty quiet.."
"Hmm? Sorry, just thinking. It'll probably be a while before we all see eachother again, even with my wish..."
She
nodded.
"Come to think of it...I doubt anyone will ever see eachother
again...right? Well I'm more worried about you..." she closed her eyes.
Arthur was puzzled, "What do you mean, you're more worried about me?"
"Look at
yourself...you've changed so much...and where does that leave you?" She turned
her gaze back to the sun.
"You can't go back to your old life now...so how
are you going to make a new one?"
He sighed and smiled. "Now that I hear it from someone else, it seems so pessimistic. Now that I've thought about it, I guess I never really had a life. I've always lived on my feet, so to speak. If nothing else, I'm pretty good at just staying alive. I only hope that I haven't already dug myself into a hole too far to climb out of. I've made a lot of enemies, and from what I've heard the bounty on my head is pretty high. I'll just have to figure everything out as it happens, like I used to." He frowned again, the thought putting a bad taste in his mouth. "Or perhaps differently than I used to."
"Well you can always stay on the island with Redwaters, Rini, and the rest..."
"No, I still feel like I need to make ammends to so many people." Seemingly out of nowhere, he produced another paper crane.
She watched the
crane and looked at him a moment.
"Hmmmmm" She sighed. "Can I ask
who?"
Might walked out from behind Arthur,"perhaps those you had to betray for your jobs, possibly the families of those you have killed?"
"You always come
out of no where...."
----------
Tia smirked and walked with Geo,
looking down at him.
"one of the bad
parts of death,it can spring up anywhere"
---
Cor walked beside
Tia,his own support unit getting plastered in the bar.
Arthur hadn't been surprised when Might had appeared. "More or less, I suppose." He wasn't comfortable talking about it, but tried not to show it, and instead to end the discussion as simply and vaguely as possible. He was falling back into his old habits. The assasin then produced, from apparently nowhere, a small, half-empty bottle of clear liquid. "Fairly weak, by most standards. I know they won't miss it. I wonder... a sip or two can't hurt, can it?"
"Can it?" She looked at him. "Stop trying to shy away from us."
Redwaters: Well,
have you made up your mind?
FireMaker: Um...well. Geeze I don't know. Why
don't I go for a walk and air out. Ok?
R: If you have to think about it,
then you really must not have missed it so much.
F: Come on, give a guy a
break. Huh? Look I just need to walk so I can think straight ok.
R:
Hm...ok.
FireMaker starts to walk out of the resturant.
Arthur seemed a tad reproachful. "I try, but... it just doesn't feel right. The same reason I prefer alleys to streets. I still need to come to grips with myself before I can really deal with other people, without trying to manipulate them at least."
India surprised him
by hugging him close. As much as he wanted to pull away there was a warm
friendly prescence to it...
"Well...I'm always here for ya"
"I.. uh-" he recoiled and started to stuttered, but then sighed and leaned into it. "Thank you."
She smiled and
patted his back.
"You're very brave Arthur...I'm proud of you."
"I'm just what I have to be."
"You're so much more than what you have to be."
Might smiled as he
looked at the two,"I`d offer you a hug Arthur but somehow I don`t think it`d
have the same effect hahaha"
---
At Setsunas grave two newly
repaired figures stood over it,"don`t worry boss,we`ll think of something...lets
go Pang,we haven`t repaired ourselves fully".
OOC: *thwaps Cor* bad Cor!! Bad! No ressurection of enemies!!!
OOC : *coughs* forgetting about normal day, thats when he appears again Tia.
OOC: no im
not
Arthur chuckled, "None the less, it's certainly been interesting meeting... well... Death. One could say I'm a fan of yours."
India smirked and broke away from the hug. She fluffed her wings out once more and moved back into the suns rays.
Might smiled,"heheh you probably meant that its job related but I don`t mind,so long as you don`t harm my children here thats fine".
"Don't worry, I wouldn't think of it." He looked down at the bottle in his hand, then took a swig. "Not that bad. You know, the first time I had alcohol was just a while ago, a bit after I arrived here. I woke up in an alley the next day..." he took another swig, "I don't know what it was, it seems perfectly fine now." India and Might gave eachother worried looks, and she caught the bottle halfway. "Oh... right..."
India gave him a
disapproving look.
"We dont need for you to become an alcoholic Arthur...best
you stay away from that stuff. It's more harm then good."
Might steadied Arthur,"you shouldn`t drink that stuff,it`ll rot your guts out, see?",he smirked and opened his robes showing his skeletel frame.
"And whats wrong
with tiping the bottle once awhile. It helps to relieve stress you know. Just as
long as you don't abuse it." FireMaker asked as he came up behind
them.
OOC: This coming from a person who has a low tolarnce of the stuff.
Get's drunk off a half a glass of daquri or 6 sips of wine. :p
"Im surprised you
made it up onto the roofs." She looked at FireMaker.
"He doesnt need to be
drinking the stuff...he'd get as plastered as you."
"Getting plastered, once and awhile isn't bad either. You just have to live with after math. That's all. Now if he got drunk and acted like a fool, then that would be bad." FireMaker replied.
"Like I said, the last time I tried it I woke up in an alley with no memory of what happened," he looked down, "I spent the rest of the day throwing up."
FireMaker facepalms. "Looks like you don't have tolarance to the stuff. Just like my little brother StormTemper." He folds his arms and tilts his head a bit. "Now I have a bit of a dilema. Which should I chose, get shit-face, knock flat drunk or not get drunk."
