SYNOPSIS OF THE INDOOR APPRENTICE

Lee, a college student, has a lovely girl friend and likes to hang around with friends after class. However, things change after he starts learning Chinese painting from a master, who lives in a studio with elegant Asian antique interior and believes all the traditions from the ancient, including the Indoor Apprentice Custom, which requires the student to live, serve and learn loyally to his master; thus, their relationship is not only teacher-to-student, but always more than that.
Lee, as a modern apprentice, feels spending too much time in his master’s studio and starts struggling with continuing his learning or spending more time with his friends, especially when the over attentions from his master go far beyond than his expectation.
