Hi!!   I'm Indrajit ........ Indrajit Kar and welcome to my home- page.  As  it  is  my  profile  page,  let  me  give you a small description of mine. 

I  was born in  a wonderful little town named Balurghat in West Bengal  ( India ).  It  is  a  remote  and  peaceful   border  town (of Bangladesh) with  very  less  activity  and it is far, far away 

 from the madding crowd.  My  parents along with  my  younger brother still live  there. 

I've done Bachelors in Science (Physics) and Post Graduate Dipoma in Computer Science & Applicatons from  North  Bengal  University  and  Master  of  Businsess  Administration  (Major in Marketing)  from B.R. Ambedkar University. I've also done a high-end software course (TWSP) from Globsyn Technologies Ltd., Kolkata. ,

I’m now working with IIiM executing the learning services project in North Bengal in collaboration with IBM and West Bengal Govt. Previously, I was with NIIT looking after the same govt. school learning services project through out North Bengal. Before that, for about four years I was t mostly with Electrosteel Castings Ltd. , Calcutta. Apart from Marketing jobs,  I have done the BPR  (Business Process Reengineering)  project  which  was  implemented  by   Eicher Consultancy Services, New Delhi.  I was also invoved  with  the  ERP  implementation  project ( in Sales & Accounts Receivables Module) and worked in  close contact with NIITand Ramco Systems.

I love traveling a lot.  I regularly take some time out for this and most of the time I take refuge in the serenity of the mountains and jungles (You can view the site prepared by me on Dooars Jungles). Apart from this, my pass-time is listening to music - I like to hear Bangla as well as Western music.   In Bangla,  I generally listen to  Urban Folk, Folk, Fusion and the   new experimental songs carried out by some of the young  and  talented artistes and in the Western songs, I like to hear Folk  and  Country songs as well as the Golden Oldies.   My favourite singers are Anjan Dutta,  Suman Chattopadhaya,  Pratul Mukherjee,  Bhoomi,  Cliff Richard,  Dan Seals,  Simon  &  Garfunkal, Pete Seeger etc.  I also like to  watch  good  movies (be it in any language) and  to  read  books  (classics, short-stories and travelogues).
