Now I´m finally hired as a resident DJ; ) New arrivals have been to many to report, I will soon work in making my CD collection better to view! have a look at the setlist from the last nite... Signal Aout 42 - Right Thing (remix) At least my situation just seems to get each time better, maybe now with more exposure I can teach people to enjoy better stuff! Sunday, October 14, 2001
Hi, back from the night, I went DJing, sunday nights are not often good in audience I must assume, but now I face it thus, it´s better to have a couple of people satisfied with your set than a bunch of wankers who have no idea of what are you playing but they dance to just cause they are there for this and show off their decadent bodies in an attempt to get laid later or getting some in the toilet. Here´s the set list: 1-Klinik - Walking with Shadows 2-Bigod 20 - Body to Body 3-Signal Aout 42 - Right Thing 4-Manufacture - Armed Forces 5-Insekt - Deceptions 6-Borghesia - Naked, Uniformed, Dead 7-The Force Dimension - X-Tension 8-Front 242 - Tragedy for you 9-Pankow - Touch - I´m your Bastard 10-Vomito Negro - Stay Alive 11-DRP - Go into Ecstasy 12-A Split Second - The Colosseum Crash 13-Click Click - Sweet Stuff 14-Severed Heads - Twently Deadly Diseases 15-Carlos Perón - The Hexer (Cult Version) 16-Cyberaktif - Temper 17-Nitzer Ebb - Control I´m Here About the Mark Lane site, I decided to no longer keep it as it no longer made sense to me keeping an alternate site if he has his own site which is much more efficient it´s under reformulation rite now, but see for yourself here. I added a link to the Run Level Zero site, this is a great swedish EBM band, very well done, not usual techno crap that most bands make nowadays. Soon I´ll be improving the site to make the visitor´s life easier. End of transmission Wednesday, October 10, 2001
Hello, I found a nice site, here you make a test to know what robot you really are, here´s my result, ![]() Well, I just have pity on those who have C3P0 as a result; ) A new arrival, I´ve got today the debut CD by Pankow, Freiheit für die Sklaven, this CD is much better than I expected, there´s even a cover version of a Prince song, Girls and Boys. This CD has a simple and strong sound, although the band is italian, the sounding is much like the NDW bands (eg: DAF, Berlin Express, Liaisons Dangereuses) the music consists of basically basslines and beats, with ocasional samples and vocals of course, what´s new in it? The beats are veeeeeeeery well done, their music is simple but very strong, and the vocals by herr Spalck give an extra charm to it, pity it´s another good band that didn´t survive... let´s not forget the cover art is made by Giger! My advice, get the Contempo release, this may not have the stupid "CD Galaxys" logo over the cover art. Some good news, these are said by Adrian Smith (ex Click Click) himself: End of transmission Monday, October 01, 2001
Before anybody says I´m a lazy bastard, I say yeah I must still finish some stuff in here! Today I got a CD by Carlos Perón, Triggering, I must confess the cheesy cover art is fascinating=) Although this album features some too "modern" songs, there are still many songs with the good old Perón charm we all love like Der Komtur!, Nothing is True, Possessed House, and others, I think this will be a very helpful piece for my DJing job, that should have started long ago!!!!! While most artists fall into conventionality when old, Mr. Perón seems to reinvent himself each time better, with an extensive discography, I think he´s one of those who are worth collecting. To know more about him go to www.carlosperon.de, he told me he´d remaster his whole work for a re-release, I guess I´m not the only one who´s anxious for this! In the last few days, I also received a promo of the M.M.B.O. CD by Allied Vision, to people who enjoy Suicide Commando and other noisy modern bands, this would be fun for sure, Allied vision has a nice blend of abrasive basslines and chaotic noises with melodic keyboard patterns, about the vox? Scaaaaaaaaaaaary, but well sung, not usual "vomiting" we hear. My big thanx go to Rafa Cross their manager! To know more about them, go to www.allied-vision.com. Another goodie that I bought is a DCD with the complete work of Mecano, the post punk dutch band that brazilian people think it´s gothic, I´m really curious to know why has it made such a big success in South America, while they´re nearly unknown in other places, to know more about them, work it out by yourself, there was a site, but I think it has moved, and I can´t find it anymore! Well, I think there will be more to como tomorrow! |
