Some sad news, I lost my job as DJ, thus no more set lists every week=/
Of course Iīll keep playing as guest, but thatīs not as frequent as when you work in a club!
Some cute things that have arrived...
Front Line Assembly - Epitaph
They are still great, no way out, but I must confess that since hard wired thereīs "a somethingīs missing" feeling, cause these albums have taken to long to grow into me. The only drawback I have about this album are the jungle beats they use sometimes, yeah I think jungle beats donīt fit well into EBM... it they still call themselves so, at least this element is not present in all songs (thanx god!), these songs are rather similar to Implode, considering that there are less fast beat songs, most have a slower rhythm with a nice eerie background keyboard, like in the instrumental songs from Implode. And for the first time in years, I did not play the "where is this sound from?" game; ) Maybe Iīm a bit (or too) outdated. By the way, my favorite song from Implode was Falling... just remembered about it now hehe, from this single/album(?) I havenīt made a choice yet, but Dead Planet is a strong candidate, before I forget, Iīve got the limited edition, yes, these things come to South America!
Die Form - Die Puppe II
Ahhhh, this is a jewel, if you donīt own it yet, HURRY!!!! how can you miss this???
This is perfect lo fi music, how to have fun with just a few layers and samples, if youīve heard Automatic Love, this is the time to meet Automatic Death, the original one from where the idea came, itīs a very simple krafwerkian song with a very dark atmosphere, its repetition create a strong tension, that made this song awfully adctive, and the voice treatments are very effective to help creating the atmosphere. Other highlits are Invalid, Darkness, Prefazione di Pompei, Leders Klub and Strange[r] which is one of the most erotic songs form the CD, with fuck samples in the background and female vox, the repetivive noises also make it highly hipnotic. SEx by force is another highlit, but this is one I donīt present anymore, it was a hit in here for a while.
But, one question remains, why was the song Zoophilic Lolita excluded???
Novo Homo - In some brutal way he was an artist
Canīt tell too much about this band, thereīs nearly no information on the sleeve of this 10" EP, music is very weird, reminds me early Laibach, dark military march like songs... will post more as soon as I find out more about it, well, besides being a gift from a friend, itīs GREEN vinyl, can I complain?; )

Hello,
no set for today, Iīm on vacation day; )
Iīve added a few links, one is for my friend Zokoīs site, he keeps now a good site with CD reviews, links, etc, all in german though.

and the other is for the great band
Dark Day, now describing their music is not an easy task considering the CD inludes songs from different releases that do not follow exactly a same line, the 1st 2 tracks are from the debut 7", and they consist of real drums, guitars and synthesizers as bassline, the 1st LP is rather similar, but not so dark, and in the 2nd 7", the band move into the field of experimental electronics, in the 2nd LP, the band was stablished as a keyboard duo, then itīs a bit like the minimal sounds some people (like me) like so much. Now the charm of the thing is, if you like lo fi keyboards and simple music, thatīs fun assured, it sounds a bit like early Casio keyboards.
By the way, the Belagian Dark Alternative bands site seems to be down for a while=/
end of transmission.
