Aim: Aim of the studio is to introduce the students with the comprehensive framework and different scales of planning. As synthesizing environmental and historical conservation objectives with socio-economic development objectives, scenarios developed at macro level provide a framework of reference for the planning of the city selected. These constitute the context where the city is located. This comprehensive framework subsumes different scales of planning pertaining to sub-regional, urban level and to the sites of the city. Students are expected to approach each level of planning within the context of the scenarios (including utopias) developed at macro level. The aim of the studio is not only to introduce the students with scientific mode of thinking but also the strategic and utopian thinking on selected problem areas. Problem: - Critical evaluation of the development of the city Inebolu and environs at 1/100.000 scale sub-regional development schemas. - Preparation of 1/25.000 scale master plan for the city and environs and 1/5.000 scale master plans for the city, according to conservation and development scenario alternatives introduced by each group of students.
