METALLOID
I couldn't believe my eyes
What I saw could not describe
It looks so strange
So interesting
Yet so perplexing
It came at me
Not a care in the world
Riding the bullet express
The sheer metallic edges
The loony light scheme
All made me stop
And think about it
Silver slivers of spiky spores
Draw my attention
Brass ball bearing beyond belief
Yet I couldn't see clearly
Crazy components connected correctly
Made me marvel at the craftsmanship
Metallic smoothness pulls me toward
Convulsing shimmers push me away
And all because I couldn't stay away
Nothing needed nor known
Of the object that I saw
That traveled at tremendous time
Strenuous strength-sapping surprise
That I saw that day
Bullet-slow and snail-fast
So opposite but so same
Shimmering yet dull
With a metallic glow
I stared for some time
But never figured it out
