WAS IT WORTH IT? (THRILL) |
Incredible feats of agony Hunted down by fearless cats Average citizens slave away Vexed by lies that sound so good Entertainment value down Letting prices soar Only the rich get famous Small, unimportant things They do are more important Maybe it's just me You think it is Toughness counts Ruthless sweethearts A dime a dozen I never understood it Nobody wants to die Only have fun Fun and games Till someone dies How's that feel? Observing an omen Unlike you've ever seen Ghost of a man Hammered to a stone That's 75 feet below All for fun Nobody wants safety Dull and stupid Moans the molding mass Yet more intelligent Can we really be that dumb? Let's die for a thrill Outrunning a plane That heads toward a cliff How about it? Everybody's doing it! So you try And what happens? Remember what your life was like Expectations crushed by your stupidity Self-expression with a toll There's no expression in your eyes Instant death Lack of realization Looked back to see Dumb faces staring back at you Really felt cool then, didn't you? You felt accepted Impaled on that stone Nothing mattered except Gaining acceptance Do you feel it was worth it As you lie in hell? Maybe you could call time-out Maybe do it all over again Increase awareness That would have been smart All you wanted was a rush Let them give you that Little push That sent you crashing On that rock How does acceptance feel? Envision their minds Little puny things Later destroyed by stupidity. |
