Installing FreeBSD Distribution

In the Choose Distribution menu appeared, I used the space bar to select option 9 which is for the average user who also wants the X Window System. When prompted to confirm whether or not I would like to install the FreeBSD ports collection, I used the arrow key to select [Yes]. Using the ports collection can make installation of some software much easier.

I was also prompted to confirm the installation od Xorg. I simply selcted OK. Then finally the Choose Distribution menu appeared again and I again selected OK.

The next screen asks for the Installation Medium you want to use. I made sure the CD/DVD option was highlighted and selected OK. When the Last Chance! screen appeared asking if I really wanted to continue with the installation, I selected [Yes].

Sit back and relax while FreeBSD is being installed. When the installation is complete, you will see the following :

                               Message 

Congratulations! You now have FreeBSD installed on your system. 

We will now move on to the final configuration questions. 
For any option you do not wish to configure, simply select No. 

If you wish to re-enter this utility after the system is up, you may
do so by typing: /usr/sbin/sysinstall.
