Metal Vs Hardcore II

I went to another hardcore show this weekend and I think I have found a major difference between hardcore and metal. Hardcore kids talk way too fucking much. Four bands played flightnineteen, failsafe, Burn It Down, and By the Grace of God. I kind of dazed through the first two bands but I was hyped when Burn It Down started. I went to Bloomington specifically to see them.I must first state that they are four bad asses that somehow found each other. This group kicks ass. I immediately bought their cd and I suggest you do the same. But before every song the lead singer made a speach about how the world should be. He may have had some very valid points but I didn't go to the show to hear a sermon. Personally I let my music speak for me. What I mean is that if I wanted someone to shove their beliefs down my throat I would have a conversation with a Christian. At least the music was good enough to sit through his rants for. By the Grace of God started with a 15 minute speach about putting yourself on the spot and love. It was quite hippiesque. I suffered through that to see how the band sounded and while the music was very good, the singer's voice sounded like Mickey Mouse. After half of the first song I left. On my way out I saw the drummer from Burn It Down sitting on a bench and had a lengthy conversation with him. It turns out he holds the same opinions as I do.

What's your opinion?
