Fact: Working retail is a bitch. Exhibit A: Helping an elderly customer find a shirt that she'll inevitably return. Jackass #1 approaches. Deciding that his Burberry sunglasses and hideous Prada jacket entitle him to preferrential treatment, Jackass #1 interrupts you. Jackass #1 cannot seem to fathom that you are busy and will be with him as soon as possible. End result: You are responsible for the failure of womankind. You are now "the reason that women should never be allowed to work anywhere." Exhibit B: Boxing Day. After spending 2 hours folding 163 DKNY sweaters Jackass #2 approaches in a huff. He decides that it would be most fun to try to pull out a sweater from the bottom of one of the piles. Somehow Jackass #2 manages to knock half the sweaters off the table. He looks at the pile, chuckles then walks away without apologies. An hour later you're still folding and Jackass #2 returns. You're excited - he's come to apologize! Wrong. He's come to ask for your number. You chuckle and then walk away.
