Hello Hello
I apologize for such tardiness, but his is urgent.
Keep in mind that we cannot raise money for the Fresh Choice fundraiser if no one knows about it. Thus I decided to have a service project as part of our advertising campaign. This is what we plan to to. On November 30,
the day before the event, we will go to Westgate mall and pass out flyers to people, since the restaurant is in the Westgate mall. That way, we can inform people familiar with the area to help us raise funds by eating there. So we plan to to to the Westgate mall on Sunday, November 30 from 12-1pm, which is one hour of service to the fraternity. If you would like to, we can go shopping afterwards and have a fellowship at the mall.
Yay, fundraisers! Yay, fellowships!
If you are interested in participating, please contact Kit Kan or Kenneth Cheung (kennethcheung1@iwon.com, (626) 297-8368). However, Kit cannot make it that day, so if you would like to lend us your transportation, we would enjoy that too. If you have a time conflict, then we could be flexible.

I have to admit some problems that occured for this project. First off, I was not very good at promoting this event. Even some of our own members were weary of helping us out, so I called various pledges to ask if they could help us, and eventually Mike Lynch responded to our plea. Reed signed up, but he did not show up since he was busy dreaming in his bed. I should have hit various places around the school earlier, but I did not. I was just just too occupied with academics and other stuff. Secondly, my original plan was to go to Westgate mall (where the restaurant was located) and pass them out. But then I called Fresh Choice on November 30 and they said that we could not go within the whole shopping center to promote the event. So that quite a large drawback. Next time I should call earlier. Next we tried to go to Westfield Valley Fair Mall, since Ajay, Christina, Diana, and Mike Lynch were going there anyway for a shopping fellowship. Unfortunately, it was against the rules to distribute flyers in the mall and people could get cited if they were caught. However, after talking to a security guard, I found that the mall was prohibited to telling us as to how much was the fine for distributing flyers. I was not willing to take any chances, so we all stopped and took a lunch break. I ate Great Kahn's food. I thought it was cool for the cooks to stir-fry your food in front of you.
Thank goodness we decided and bought the gifts for our pledge trainers: we went to the Build-a-Bear store and customized 4 bears to look like the people we were giving it to. Kevin's bear got the karate outfit and Mariko's bear got the cheerleader costume (I cannot explain why). (Another gift idea we had awas to make a calender with pictures of the Alpha Phi Omega members). I called some people about this gift idea to check if they would approve. Most thought positive about it. Then Jeffrey-Scott came (when does this kid ever study?) and he bought a bear for his big sibling along with Ajay. Meanwhile, I saw that Jina responded to my call and talked to her. It turns out that she works in the mall. So I went to Nordstroms and and gathered intelligence from her. She does not actually work for
Nordstroms, for she represents a company that has a display in Nordstroms. She also wore more make up than usual, as hangman noted.
After our gift purchase, we said good bye to Jina and decided to go to Santana Row to distribute flyers. However, Kit had reservations about doing that so we withdrew that operation as well.
Later that night, there would be the emergency chapter meeting. I did not even know there was one, but I appreciate Argie to attending and getting those avtive membership forms. Now we must use the lessons of our mistakes to make sure we do not repeat them. I hope you had fun reading this, because I fun typing this.
bye bye bye
