WHO I AM IN CHRIST |
UNREST This morning, I sit here, and my heart is at "unrest." I know, I know...what in the world are you doing posting when you feel like this. First, I am not looking for any sympathy. Second, no one can give me answers...only God. For you see, He himself is our peace. And third the Holy Spirit will guide me into all truth. The following may be too long, but it tells me some of who I am in Christ...and is comforting. Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has BLESSED us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He CHOSE us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be HOLY & BLAMELESS before Him in love having predestined us to ADOPTION as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us ACCEPTED in the BELOVED. In Him we have redemption through His blood, FORGIVENESS of sins, according to the riches of His grace, which He made abound toward us in all wisdom & prudence having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him . In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise. Hmm, lets see: 1:3 Blessed 1:4 Chosen 1:4 holy/blameless 1:5 adoption 1:6 accepted in the beloved 1:7 redeemed through the blood / forgiveness 1:13 sealed with Holy Spirit How could anyone even doubt who they might be in Christ?? And these are only a few things that show us we are COMPLETE in Christ. We lack nothing! Yes, it takes reading His "alive" Word to make one see...not be blinded and feel downcast. Praise Him for His promises and guarantees, and for giving me (and you!) such blessings. Oh, how He loves us. Can't ya see? I am already blessed this morning now, at 5:15 am (by my clock). God is truly_______no words to describe it. You fill in the blank. Blessed Beyond Measure Becky |
