WHO I AM IN CHRIST

                                          

 1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

Washed: 
Apolouo ap-ol-oo'-o
To wash fully (figuratively)
i.e.: have remitted (reflexively)
wash (away)

Wash proceeds both sanctified & justified, & so must refer to the Christians outward new birth of water, the sign of the inward setting apart to the Lord by the inspiration of the Spirit as the seed of new life.

Washed by the blood of the Lamb.


Hebrews 10:19-22
Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies WASHED with pure water.


So, fact is, my heart is sprinkled clean from an evil conscience...therefore, I should not listen to the lies of the enemy.

Fact is, my body is washed with pure water.

Having said this, I must know that I can draw near, with a sincere heart, in full assurance of faith, to God. Not doubting my "cleanliness" or "worthiness".

Sprinkled clean from an evil conscience.......................................interesting. Requires more study.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6
Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate AS SERVANTS OF A NEW COVENANT, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Servant of a new covenant........

Hmm, servant/minister.....I am/will, out of pure love, make myself available to serve God...to minister to others Gods love, of course by His Holy Spirit thru me only. For what a greater honor is there than to be accounted worthy to serve my God and to share Him with others? Not that this is the main purpose of being a Christian....nooo. But is a by-product of love for God.

A fresh covenant. Praise is due God for sending Jesus to give us a fresh and new covenant. Yes, I must always remember...keep before me...the blessing of Jesus' giving of Himself (as a servant) for me.

Covenant/Testament: It is a true honor.......yes, if I would keep this in mind and not forget.....that the new covenant is much easier, less burdensome, less demanding than the old covenant. Now, I realize what I just typed sounds wrong......but consider....Jesus' death made it so simple for me to come to Him.....no strings attached. Of course it is easier to attain access to God now.....for my Jesus loved me enough (& God) to make it simple for me to CHOOSE to love Him so much that I'd accept Him. I am ever grateful that all the sacrifices that were demanded were taken care of through one man/God, no longer needed. More than sacrifice, He only wants me to love Him and obey Him....broken & contrite & humble....willingly.

This was a heart searching study.......one that made me think, for a change.

Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

I am Fresh! Even after 41 years, I am Fresh in Him, thru Him, because of Him!!!
And I am a creature!!!

Yes.....I am God's creation. Only He could make something as unique, complex and mysterious as a human. I am fearfully and wonderfully made!  A fresh creation! One that never becomes stale. I am renewed every day in Him. Like dew in the morning and the smell in the air .....can't ya see it???? Hmm? 

Look.... I can see.......I can see....
One of God's creation.....fresh......like ....... Oh look!! Surely u can see this.........there it is......a rose bush with a spider web in it. So intricate and lovely made .........but it looks like lace for there is dew.....fresh dew on it.....beautiful . That's us! We are a new creation, fresh.....sprinkled with the dew of the Holy Sprirt. 

I am absolutely luxuriating in His presence. Sorta like "calgon take me away." Its "God take me away!" 

So, if I am a new creature... then I am a fresh creation. No words....just no words.
