My Grandfather's Medals & Ribbons


Orrie Davis Roberts served in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe during World War II. .

He was awarded the following Ribbons and Medals:

Bronze Star Medal
Three Bronze Service Stars

a Combat Infantry Badge
a Combat Infantry Badge

Purple HeartPurple Heart
Two Purple Hearts.

He gave one of his Purple Hearts to a vet that lost both his legs but was never given one of his own.
