Savio
Deguara (b. 1971) studied for three years (1986 - 89) at the Salvatore
Dimech School of Arts and Crafts in Mosta. Between 1988 and 1991
he studied at the School of Arts, in Valletta.
Between
1990 and 1993 he joined the Extended Skills Training Scheme and obtained
the Journeyman’s Certificate in Wood Carving.
In
1993 he was awarded a four-year
scholarship in sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci,
of Perugia in Italy, and in 1996 he
received a three-month scholarship in sculpture and ceramics at the
University of Fine Arts in Barcelona which was offered by the Accademia di
Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci of Perugia.
On
his return to Malta (1997-98) he obtained a
Post-Graduate Certificate in Art Education from the University of
Malta
