Kavkaz Center reports:
Night Attack in Dzhokhar

Fighting occurred in the Chechen capital last night. Mobile subunits of the Chechen mujahideen hit Russian checkpoints and places of deployment of the Russian forces in the Zavodsky, Staropromyslovsky, and Oktyabrsky Districts of the city.

The clashes were most intense in the industrial quarters of Dzhokhar. The mujahideen used grenade launchers and machine guns.

Near the "Aslanbek Sheripov" factory a group of occupiers was attacked with mortars. A BTR and an UAZik are reported destroyed.

Four Russians were killed in shootouts in the 56th and in the Okruzhnoy Sub-Districts.

A Russian BTR was blown up on Karpinsky Kurgan. Fierce shooting lasted until dawn in this region.

The mujahideen managed to blockade an armoured group of the Russians that was moving towards the combat area from Khankala. The column was fired upon with grenade launchers near the Akhtayev football stadium. One BRDM was knocked out.

Local fire fights also occurred in the Avtorkhanov District of the Chechen Capital.

Chechen Ambush in Urus-Martan

A task force of the "Jamaat" unit carried out an operation against the Russians in Urus-Martan.

At the eastern outskirts of the town the mujahideen lay down in ambush. They opened fire with grenade launchers on a Russian Ural military trucks and an escorting BTR.

The Ural was destroyed with the first shot. Six Russians were killed. After 15 minutes of fighting the BTR managed to escape to the centre of the town.

The mujahideen unit captured six submachine guns and five "Mukha" one-shot grenade launchers. They suffered no casualties.

Russian Atrocities

The Russians continue to commit abominable crimes and to terrorize the population in the occupied territories of the ChRI.

The 33rd brigade of the forces of the Interior Ministry has especially distinguished itself in this regard. It is directly subordinate to Rushailov, the Russian Minister of the Interior.

Two days ago, mercenaries of the 33rd brigade entered the village of Petropavlovsk under the pretext of a so-called "cleansing" - this as usual means robbing and marauding. The local people*s property was loaded in BTRs and trucks; things of no use for the Russians were destroyed.

After plundering, the Rushailov gang publicly killed three local adolescents in a most horrible manner. The 15-years old boys were tied to remote-controlled mines and forced to start running away. Then they were blown up in full view of the local people.

The pieces of their torn bodies were collected by the village people and buried in the local cemetery.

Mujahideen Announce Death of Field Commander Arbak

The Mujahideen have announced the death of Field Commander Akmorzev Arabi, also known as Arbak. Commander Arbak felt pain in his heart at about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday (early this morning) and began perspiring heavily; he died of heart complications at 4:00 a.m. May Allah accept him as a martyr in the highest levels of Paradise. Commander Arbak was loved by the Mujahideen; he was humble, courageous and of superb character. His exploits on the battlefield were legendry and earned him the respect of the Mujahideen.

He began this war as Deputy Commander of Movladi*s Division in Grozny and led some of the best Mujahideen units to victory over overwhelming Russian forces in the Grozny suburbs of Montka and Mitchurna. Enemy losses were so severe during these battles, that the Russian Government declared Arbak as one of its most wanted men.

Commander Arbak was a young and brave commander who lived and died for the sake of Allah; Mujahideen sources confirm that just two days before his death, Arbak had completed a plan to attack a detachment of Russian Forces. May Allah have Mercy upon him and may He facilitate the path of Commander Arbak*s wife and three children whom he left behind.

Mujahideen Batter Russian Forces in Grozny

By the Grace of Allah Most High, the Mujahideen have increased the tempo of their operations against Russian Forces in Grozny. Mujahideen sources confirm that enemy positions were attacked in four different districts of the city, including the Leninsky, Zodiski and Kirov districts. No specific count of enemy casualties may be confirmed at this time, but Mujahideen sources confirm that enemy losses are extremely high.

Since the beginning of May, the Mujahideen have successfully carried out more than 50 attacks against Russian Forces in Grozny (Links). The ferocity of the Mujahideen*s attacks have shaken Russian Forces in the city and have upset the Russian Government*s plans to shift the Capital of Chechnya from Gudermes back to Grozny.

Mujahideen Not Fooled By Russian Media Campaign

Recently, the Russian media have been circulating reports that "senior Chechen ministers and diplomats" were captured by the Russian Military. The Mujahideen acknowledge that many Chechen civil servants have indeed been arrested and sent to concentration camps, but have ridiculed Russian claims that the Chechen political and military leadership is weakening towards the enemy.

Mujahideen sources confirm that this is just another ploy to shake the morale of Muslims. However, by the Will of Allah Most High, it will fail just like every other Russian ploy since the start of the War. Arresting unarmed civil servants and low level government employees will not save Russia from an inevitable and humiliating defeat at the hands of the Mujahideen. Insha-Allah, the innocent civil servants who are sent to Russia*s Nazi-style concentration camps will win their freedom and live to try their former captors in forums of Islamic justice.

Q.4 Do you have any words of advice to the Ummah?

A.4 Fear Allah, and do not fear the unbelievers, for if we fear Allah and no other, our situation will be good.
