The tragedy is not over. It is in the point in time where the security
officers were questioned on their edibility in keeping peace, they
re-committed doing the shameful actions that scratching the faces of the gov
officials of this country. Today, on 15.50 (Indonesian Eastern Time,GMT +
9 ) marinirs with brutality conducted slaughtering and fire shooting
against Muslims who were being at the cross of a road (at the end of Road.
AY Patty), in front of Sirimau Police Headquarter, rightly on the other
sides was the burnt-out Pelita Market Place. Tens of muslims were become
the victims of the brutality of this marinirs. That is not the end of it.
Another assasination was conducted in front of Al Fatah Mosque. A father of
a family was shot in front of
Jami' Mosque located side by side with the Al Fatah Mosque.
TRAGEDY AT POS KOTA
The accident at Pos Kota was connected with interference and offense
initiated by the an extreemist Christians group. On 12.00 (GMT+9) when the
Ambonese starting to do Jumu'ah Shalat, a group of Air Mata Cina Christians
interfering and throwing (something) against a few muslims who are in their
way to Ponegoro where they live. (It causes) the muslims run over toward
Soabali. This led to Soabali muslims to react angrily on what the
Christians' deeds. At the same time, some of the muslims led by Hi. Amir
Tuasamu in the middle of a meeting with Lt. Col Ivan. The meeting was not
yet finished when some marine officers
giving a warning by above-shooting their guns. This made the muslims
dismissed.
Caused by the Christians' actions at Soabali, after the Jumu'ah prayer,
14.45 (GMT + 9), a Jihad troops was launched from Jami' Masjid, Ambon. It
was consisting of 150 personnels. Most of them white dressed, with white
combined with green ribbons arround the heads. They were so young in
average, even a few of them were in the early 10's year old kids. The troop
is divided into some groups. It was planned to be sent to the frontiers of
Christians-Muslims for defensive and anticipation of the next Christian
attacks.
Then the muslim mass gathered at the cross-road (The end of Rd AY Patty, in
front of Sirimau Police eadquarter, nearby Ambon Gov Prosecution Office).
(Realizing there was muslim mass on the cross-road), security officers of
marinirs, blocking the road. The officers are about 30 (thirty) in number.
Suhfi Majid, the Secretary of Justice Party Stattion on Ambon who was there
at the accident taking place, explains that one of the muslim lead the rest
to do dzikr, shalawat, and takbir. Then tens of people's sounds of dzikr and
takbir occupying the scene.
On 15.30 (GMT +9), continues Rusli Lausepa, an eye-witness, one of the
marinirs ask the muslims to withdraw and did some security actions.
(However) in the middle of negotiation to withdraw (between muslims and the
security personnels), suddenly a gun fire came out of the marinir security
personnels.
(But) the muslims were not doing anything of un-security action. At the
first shot, the muslims were dismissed and run about. then the tear-gas
vomitted along with gun shootings directly toward the muslims while they
were running about. Tens of people were down to the ground. Eight (8) were
killed and fifty-two
(52) wounded badly, explaining Rasyid Kaisyupi the Sabili Magazine's
correspondence, who were at the location of the accident and along with
others helping the injuries. All of the injuries were brought to Al Fatah
Hospital in their critical wounds. Two of the deaths were shot at the heads,
their brains were spreading out, and their heads were broken out. Others are
bullet shot penetrated on their legs. Others were shot on the abdomen
breakin out the intestines. Among the deaths there was a 15 years old
teenager. Tens of these muslims are in their critical health situations.
ASSASINATION AT AL FATAH

Many were shot down in front of the Sirimau Police Headquarter, caused
muslims who were in Masjid Al Fatah got angry and convene at the cross of
the road. The marinir officials re-commit brutality shot against the muslims
mass. According to Mr. Ridwan who was in the mass, the shooting were clearly
directed on the muslims target at the gathering. It was one of the muslims
at that particular time making speach on the killings conducted by the
marinirs at Pos Kota area.
The muslim mass then rained with bullets. Four youngsters gun-shot-injured.
Another casualty was a father of a family shot killed at the Masjid Jami'
veranda. (So), the targets were not only muslims, but also the mosque/
masjid Al Fatah. The door and the concret wall of the masjid were holes
caused by bullets coming out of the officers' guns.
This is the second assasination by the marinirs where the first was on last
25 Aug. Again, the victims were Ambon muslims. The tragedy of Pos Kota is
the most sadly. Slaughtering with no humanity. It was the killings where the
muslim mass ithout doing anything to fights against them. It should be wise
(for the ndonesian Gov) to withdraw the marinirs out of Ambon. Placing
*their* marinirs in Ambon only an additional problem. Even now a rumor
getting spreading arround among muslims questioning the impartiality of the
Military
Commander of Pattimura -- Brig General Max Tamaela -- concerning the tragedy
at Pos Kota.
