+Joan's Story 4 Elsa+

Elsa Schiefer... Angel

ELSA SCHIEFER Many people who are special come into our lives. But we never really think about how special they are until one day they're gone. But only physically. Many people have heard that once the person you love dies, they'll always be in your heart forever. But it's more than that. They're still alive. Always. Their soul will always live. Their spirit will always live. And they will always live, right here in our hearts, where it counts most. The core of man. Elsa Schiefer had many ambitions. She wanted to go to Stanford, she wanted to be the next Marian Jones. She had a problem with her leg and she couldn't run, but otherwise she was athletic. She wanted to make presidential next year when her leg was better. She wanted to be able to run. She wanted to join Track and Field. So many ambitions yet she never made it. Elsa was called "Queen of the Careful" in her French class. She was well liked at Eisenhower. She never got to finish her Jr. High year. Many people didn't get a chance to know her well. It's surprising how one's life can past by so quickly and you start to regret everything that you ever did. "Elsa was the first new friend I made in 7th grade. She was nice enough to let me sit with her and Megan at their table because I didn't know anybody else in crafts. Throughout the semester we talked about everything possible. About our ambitions, our thoughts, our schoolwork. If I needed help on projects she'd be right there to help. Never take life for granted. Never take anyone for granted. Cherish each day as if that day the last day to live. God bless Elsa, and God bless us all.
