Daniel's Previous Inner City Experience
I have truly been blessed by God to have experienced inner city ministry in a few different settings. I have always been passionate about inner city ministry. I see a great need for Christ's message of love in the inner city.

As a part of the Adventures In Missions (AIM) program, I was blessed with the opportunity to spend a year and a half in San Antonio working in the inner city. While in San Antonio, I was stretched out of my comfort zone. I saw a neglected people. I saw children who were poor and had six or seven family members in a bedroom apartment. I experienced rejection, persecution, and obstacles while working among the people in the inner city. However, I experienced hope in the city. The people I built relationships with will never be forgotten. I am forever greatful to God for the time I spent in San Antonio working among the poor and disenfranchised.

During my time at Lubbock Christian University, I have also been blessed with the privilege of serving and worshipping with the disenfranchised, the homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes. Many of them have given their life to God and are serving Him. It is an awesome privilege to see a life so drastically changed by the power of God. I long to see that power change many more lives in the inner cities across America. That is why we long to minister in the inner city. Only God can transform the inner city into the kingdom of God. Only he can take hard hearts and soften them to his message of grace. I grew up in a poor family, but we didn't face the trials and hardships that those in the inner city have to face everyday. The only thing that brought peace to my life was a relationship with Christ. The only thing that will bring peace to the inner city is a relationship with Christ. I beg you to pray for the city. Take time to develop a relationship with someone in the inner city. Ask them why they don't worship with you. Ask why they won't come to your church. Allow God to open your eyes through the inner city. However, when your eyes are opened, be prepared to weep over the city.  Jesus weeped over Jerusalem, follow his example and weep over the city.
