Heard not-quite weekly on CKDU-FM, "The In Sound From Way Out" is a
(somewhat) open-format radio show that combines
a number of related
styles
of music....I'm tempted to go with the same line that appears on the
Perry
& Kingsley album cover
from which I took the name, which is "Electronic
Pop
Music Of The Future" -- although some of it is definitely looking
squarely
towards the past; and, some of it is not even electronic. (However,
most of
it is!) Still, that should give you some idea about it.
The show has changed a bit over the years.... It used to be in a
longer
time slot, and featured more abstract and experimental
music in its
earlier
days. For quite a while now, it's been focused more on techno and
industrial-dance music, and seems to be
shifting towards more
alternative
pop/ synthpop/ new wave/ electro territory as time goes on. Among other
things.... I might even
dabble in a bit of metal or prog-rock stuff
when it
suits me! I often delve into reporting on various worldwide mysteries,
usually from the amazing annals of the Weekly World News -- at which
point,
you never know what I'll decide to toss in there!!
